With the opening of registration for both Sci-Fi Academy and The Florida Project events, we've had some additional questions about the merchandise. Today, we are discussing The Florida Project. The biggest question asked is, "Is all the merchandise for the event pictured in the Preview Catalog?" The answer is "no." Think of the preview catalog as just that - a preview, a taste of things to come. We have seen much of the artwork and we are blown away!
So, why a Preview Catalog? Honestly, we didn't feel comfortable posting all details as things are still being finalized. Rather than have 47 changes to a catalog (which causes way more confusion than needed), we opted for the Preview Catalog. Something different we tried this year.
We thank those fans who have already registered for the event. For those who are still undecided, we have a few additional items to share. Note that the full catalog is coming soon - trust us, we want to share all the details as soon as possible. But for now - enjoy the retro goodness!
First up, we received the first painted figurine from the event. We aren't 100-percent happy with it and have a few changes but it is great to see some color on the figurine.
It's Mickey Mouse!
Ah, the Orange Bird.
Here is a concept for a multi-pin boxed set that will feature images of Walt Disney World Resort. It was designed to look like a slide carousel (does anyone remember those?)
Lastly, here is a look at a four pin set that is mounted on what appears to be a "Confidential" folder. The "FPO" in the artwork means "For Placement Only." This acronym is used so the manufacturer can ensure that the pins line up correctly on each item.
There are a few more items but we are waiting on final approvals before we can share.
Next week, we will take a look at some items from Sci-Fi Academy. For starters, here is an image of Walt Disney from the incredible awesome Mars & Beyond set.
