2019 pin releases
I'm meh about the January releases, which makes me a bit sad since I was hoping for something really awesome for my birthday. ;P The baby blocks are a cute idea but the artwork isn't really speaking to me. It almost looks...off-model? I'm happy to see the princes get some time to shine, but nothing I collect. I'm tempted to go to the blocks release just in case there is a surprise I need, but I'm leaning towards just finding it for trade/sale afterwards and sleeping in. (And now it will be Baby Simba, just you wait...) I guess my birthday present from DSF is sleeping in? ;)
The baby artwork is extremely off model. It looks like the baby dolls Walmart sells vs the Animator dolls, y'know? :$ I don't understand how hard it would have been for them to reference artwork of these characters as babies from the movies (all of whom have it, minus perhaps Mickey) as opposed to this dollar-store-greeting-card-from-the-90s art style.

Today's surprise release at Disneyland Paris

Where Magic Gets Real ✨ on Instagram: “✨ Tadaaaaam ! ✨ Découvrez enfin le résultat de votre participation au pin’s de Noël ! Vous avez souhaité un pin’s aux couleurs de Raiponce…”

Hmm, it seemed pretty easy to change the 1 to a 7 and slap a Mr. Toad with a "mania" eyes image that they've used 100 times into the stained glass part and they could have made me happy with an anniversary pin two months ago.

13 months later, I’m still waiting for DSF to put out a Robin Hood 45th anniversary pin, and Sword in the Stone’s 55th is clocking in at an even year. NOT THAT I’M BITTER ABOUT IT OR ANYTHING...
