Swap Box around the USA

Swap Box around the USA
@starry_solo Since/if there is going to be a second box, can I put in for a spot of my own on that one? We don't want to take up two spots if there's only one box going around, but if there are two, then I'd sign up for a spot with the second box. Does that make sense?

If there are two boxes and there is room, I’d happily do both. I have a bazillion traders and am thrilled to trade them out. But obviously give priority to other people before giving me a spot in a second box.

Rule clarification question, for this rule:

6. Limited edition pins 750 (large) and under must be traded within $10 value

How are we calculating value? Original purchase price? Last eBay sold listing?
I will let @starry_solo make the final call but I would think sold listings along with best judgment is better. Not sure everyone (myself included) gets pins at cost. And that leaves too much room for a lopsided trade. Like if I take out a stitch marquee I shouldn’t be able to replace it with an Artemis foul marquee!

I think if anyone is not sure on values they can ask the opinion of one or two people who have gone before them (and therefore have seen the box already)

I participated in @summerskin’s box and I wasn’t sure on value on some of the ones I took so I sent her photos of what I was trading in and out and she agreed they were fair trades.

One more edit to Post #1 due to more questions that were asked.

I'll respond to posts when I am on a computer.

We still need a volunteer to start a second swap box.

Yes, this is fine; what @maiarebecca.
Most of us use other forms of social media, but I think the safest way that everyone can check on value of the pins is eBay sold, within the past three months since that does not require a WorthPoint membership. If someone has questions about value, please message the last two participants in the Swap Box.

Today, 1/16/2022, is the last day for sign-ups.
Tomorrow, 1/17/2022, I will go through the interested people to make sure they qualify for participation.
Then Tuesday, 1/18/2022, I will identify the participants in swap box #1 and swap box #2.
I will create two new threads in this section of the forum for each swap box.

We have 17 or 18 interested parties so far, so it looks like we might be doing two swap boxes.

I am going to verify that the interested people qualify and then run a randomizer as to who will be in swap box #1 and swap box #2.

OK, done.
Everyone who posted their interest qualifies under the rules re: feedback and member since, so yay!
Onto the randomizer!

Also, for feedback purposes, once each swap box is complete, I will leave feedback for each participant. I will ask one person to leave feedback for me too :)

Yay! So fun!
A quick reminder (I know this has been mentioned in another thread) that if you're able to print labels from home, PirateShip.com is a great way to save money on Priority shipping. They also have rates for Priority Cubic (non Flat Rate boxes) that are amazing prices for smaller boxes that pack a weighty punch -- just the thing for this swap. You may get a good rate there, so don't be afraid to check the rates!

Yes! I tried to do PayPal with the "ShipNow" but now they want me to link to ShipStation!

It's still a cheaper price for Flat Rate on PirateShip than at the post office directly too!
