2012 WDW Hidden Mickey Set--My Thoughts and Traders Available
Hi Folks,
I got back from WDW a couple of weeks ago and am still going through pins but I managed to get through all of my 2012 Hidden Mickeys last night. Apologies for taking so long but it's been a busy couple of weeks. I have about 22 extras available for trade. I need the Chip and Dale Paint Can chaser to be done (I had 2 of Fig instead of one of each). If you need anything to complete your set, please see my traders. I'll trade 2012 for 2012 or similar value and prefer doing several just due to shipping cost.
Couple thoughts about the set?
I love the paint cans. What a cool idea. Wish they had done more like a dozen of them but whatever.
The perfume bottles are cute but princesses are not really our thing (my son likes sports and my wife likes female villains and pirates).
The Pooh series have great colors and are just fun!
The continents are probably my least favorite. The artwork is ok but doesn't blow me away. And I don't really get the concept. Maybe I missed something.
The Zodiac is a cool idea and generally very well executed. The artwork is generally excellent and the characters are well-chosen. I like these better than the DisneyShopping set from a couple of years ago (they are just too small).
I wish these were just a bit larger. Seems like the hidden mickeys are staying very small and that's a shame. We spend a lot of money to get traders to complete the sets. I'd like to see these at a 1" minimum.
I'd like to see the paint can set made much larger, expanded to 10 or 12 and released as an LE or maybe a mystery Limited Release set. I'd also like to see the Zodiac set enlarged and released as an LE or LE mystery set or similar.
What are your thoughts on the set?
