Hey all,

I just bought a pin of eBay, and it was sent to me with a locking back. It looks like a brass colored cylinder with a small circular (hexagonal?) opening on its side for the key.

Any ideas on how to remove the locking back without destroying the pin or buying an Allen wrench just for this?

Thanks.

That must suck! Only way to get it off is to buy the little baggies have these pin backs because it comes with the tool. I use them. :)

I did contact the seller. He told me I need an Allen wrench to remove it (i.e., absolutely no help whatsoever).

Would the cast members at DTD or World of Disney have one? Or would someone at Mickey's Circus be likely to have one I could borrow? I know that's a few months away, but I don't really want to buy a $8.50 wrench to remove the back on a $10 pin...

Just go to the hardware store with your pin and use the allen wrench really fast and stick it back on the shelves. :)

I'm sure you'd find someone at the event that had one with them.

If you were to buy one, I wouldn't just buy a wrench because they are tiny little things. I'd just buy some more locking backs and they come with the wrench you need.

You could also try the end of a bobby pin but that would probably be too big.

Hi
I would actually buy one from the Hardware Store,do NOT take it off the shelf though..they might think you took it
I would ask someone there to do that for you..maybe they have one open in a drawer! That does suck too!!
