Buying Limited Edition/Release Disney World Pins

Hey everyone, this is my first thread! Please forgive me in advance if there are other threads asking a similar question to mine, if you have the link to it I would appreciate that. I've looked over the forums and haven't been able to find anything.

I was wondering if anybody could educate me on a couple things about Walt Disney World pins:

1. When does disney release limited edition/limited release pins? Is there some sort of calendar/schedule? At least a calendar that says, for example, October 5th a new pin is being released with an edition size of 1,000?

2. Where can I find information on newly released limited edition/limited release pins?

3. Where are these limited edition/limited release pins released? Disney's Pin Traders in Downtown Disney (now known as Disney Springs)? The parks?

4. How do the sale of these pins work? First come first serve?

5. Can you purchase online or over the phone?

I have quite a few questions about these pins. I'm new to pin trading and I want to start my own collection of limited edition pins particularly after seeing this set which I thought was just awesome! http://www.disneyparksmerchandise.com/pins/classic-characters-mystery-pack-puzzle-pin-set/

Also, I'm a Disney World Annual Passholder - I was seeing pins that said you specifically need your annual pass at the time of purchase. How does that work, the same as the limited edition pins?
