Is it better to leave pins on their cards or take them off their cards to display them on a cork board, etc... or does it not matter at all. I see a lot of different things people do from checking out the forums but I was wondering if one way is favored over the other. I always save the original cards. thoughts?

I took off all of my cards. I like it better that way. But hey, it's really all up to you and what you like :)

I take the cards off to put them on my boards because I like how they look. I started saving the cards, and on the suggestion of another DPF member, I put a little sticky note on each with what pin it went to (especially as some of them are relatively unique) for when/if I trade the pin.

That is a good idea i'll remember that for the future!

I just finished taking all my cards off (several hundred) and marked each with an avery label on the back so I know what they go to. Next step: categorizing, then putting in trading bags! Big job, but a fun one.

I take them off but like everyone one else keep them safe somewhere but the really rare pins i keep just the plastic on them LOL not sure why but I do :)

I like to leave them on the LE's but now am running out of room. Am thinking about taking the backcard's off or not.

Hmmm, a hint your getting too many pins. Too many traders mean you could have bought your Grails or want list? Investing in traders or are the your Have pins.

Too many pins?? I really don't know how to answer that really. Buy my grails?? Where is the fun in that?? And actually I have found my holy grail selling for $90. I traded a DSF LE of 300, that cost me $15 for it......you're right, I should of just bought it than rather trade for it. I like to invest in traders so I can get what I want. I would rather buy some LE pins I have no interest for trade if I come across something I like or got to have.

It depends. If it is a plain black card, I take it off. But for something like the Animal Kingdom Animals Mystery Set, the card has a ton of animal information on it, so I kept the pins on the card.

My personal collection ... Pins off the cards ... But card retained for future use if I decide to trade or down size my collection ... As for traders I tend to keep them on the cards

if there is something special about the card, I keep it on. If its just like a regular DSF card or plain black crd, I take them off and leave a tiny sticky so I know which pin belongs to which back.

I take my pins off their cards when displaying them. I have them up on canvases in frames, so the cards would just take up room. Also, since these are pins that I am keeping, I really don't care about their cards, so most end up in the recycle.

That was me! (or sis)...I don't remember who. :) But when we ran out of room displaying our pins with their backs in our books, we decided to take them off the backs, put post-it notes (taped) to the back of the card. Now we have a huge ziploc bag full.
