Question has anyone ever mad a trade with a child you regret. I didn’t trade something major, just a spare LR mystery pin, but it just bugged me. The only reason I made the trade was because it was a child and they were so eager to make any kind of trade. But now I’m stuck with a pin I and no one else wants but at least I made a kid happy.
Please let me know if any of you have done this and regretted it, or tell me if I should stop beating myself up or if you think I was a gullible idiot.

I have definitely done that. I trade a stitch donut LE pin for a rack pin that I later realized was damaged. She was maybe 5? She was so excited about that pin. Every time I look at the damaged pin I cringe a little but she was very excited about so I guess in the long run it wasn’t that bad.
That makes me feel better.

I have GIVEN pins to young children more times than I can count while walking around the parks. Sometimes I had a pin a child really wanted, other times a child just really wanted to trade; in all of those cases, the children were new to pins/pin trading, didn't have many (or any) traders, and I opted to gift the pin instead of trading as a way of spreading a little of the Disney magic.
