Hello! So, I've been getting into painting custom cork boards for pin display lately, and I was wondering
if anybody might be interested in trading pins for any to display their own collections on?

Some examples of boards I've painted are here:

Alice in Wonderland

Aladdin

And for an example of how pins actually look on them:

And the paint doesn't stick to the back, either (which is a definite plus, haha)!
(That one's just a barely-begun WIP - I'll post the full thing when it's done!)

(The boards offered here would be scenes picked by you, of course, not pre-made boards!)

Mostly I'd be trading small painted boards (up to 11"x17" or thereabouts), perfect for displaying grails
or groups of very special pins (because shipping larger boards would be difficult and expensive!):

(Plus my awkward hand for size comparison.)

HOWEVER, if you would be willing to cover the shipping cost, I'd be willing to go bigger (up to 17"x23")!

Also, including a picture reference or general idea of what you'd be interested in when offering would be MUCH
appreciated, so I can estimate how difficult it will be to paint and how many colours I'll have to buy for it!

EDIT: HERE is a list of pins I'd most like to be able to trade boards for (no surprise on some of them!),
but I'd be willing to consider other offers of things from my wants list, of course! :)

(Also would be willing to do larger or multiple boards, or trade pins + custom
board for some of the REALLY tough to get ones!)

Might anyone be interested in trading? :)

That's amazing! Do you directly paint on the cork? I wonder what paint you use for it.

What would you be looking to trade for? I've been searching for a perfect way to frame my Tangled pins and I love the lantern board in you.

I would definitely be interested! Love the artwork :)

I don't think I have anything you want thats not a part of my collection though :(
That just means I have to look for things you like!

Thank you! And yep! I use water-based multi-surface acrylic. It can get pricey, but it's totally worth it! It has such a nice texture when it dries. :)

Tangled has so many pretty pins, I bet your collection is lovely! I'm not really sure what I'd be looking for in general, but the board I've been doing for Tangled is probably the most complicated one I've undertaken yet (understandably, with all those lanterns!)... I should really put together a more comprehensive list of the type of pins I'm looking for for these boards! To be honest, I didn't really think about that - I didn't realize I would get responses so soon!

Thank you so much! And I like your optimism, haha! I look forward to that! :)

Very nice!

Thank you! ♥

Oh yes, I tried to paint some lanterns too and they're so tricky. You really did a nice job on those! And Tangled pins are amazing! My collection isn't that big yet but it's slowly growing. :D It's an adventure haha. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread for whenever you know what you'd like!

Updated with a "most wanted" list... it's mostly pretty high-end "dream" stuff so I'm still open to other offers, of course! Just remember that with the cost of paint, board, and shipping, before any artsy labour is even put into it, the starting amount for these small-sized boards is around $50 (yikes). Hope that doesn't scare anybody off, as they are actually quite lovely to display pins on (I'll put up another photo of the Alice board with pins on it once they've been arranged, if that might help)! :)
