Hi Everyone,

Hope those of you that wanted the DFTC Snow was able to get her!

I just have a question and was wondering if you guys could help me out. As most of you probably know I was able to attend the D23 expo and while I was there I bought the entire set of mugs, however when I returned back to Australia (on Sunday) while unpacking I noticed that three of the five mugs were damaged as a result of the baggage handlers throwing the bags around.

Unfortunately the three that were damaged were Snow, Rapunzel and Belle. In terms of damage Snow had a huge chunk of the base chipped off, Belle had a bit chipped off from the top and Rapunzel the whole handle came off.

I was able to purchase Snow again online from the Disneystore but unfortunately Rapunzel and Belle had sold out by then. I was wondering if anyone that is near a Disneystore would be able to go in and pick up a Rapunzel and Belle mug for me? If you are able to help out could you please send me a PM? I know this is a lot to ask but living in Australia really limits my chances of ever getting anything at retail.

Note that I have been checking on ebay but most of the listings for buy it now are over double what the mugs would have cost, especially if they purchased the mugs using the 2 for $9 discount.

Thanks!

Hey guys thanks heaps for the support and offers, please dont feel like you have to visit the Disneystore just to check if the mugs are available. As I really dont want to put people out of the way, especially since it will result in you already having to go out of your way to have the items mailed.

Mind you I did not realise that in the US you could get USPS to pick up the packages, which I think is awesome! Here you have to go into the post office to have items sent, either that or you do it through work haha.

But again thanks for all the help guys! Hopefully I can get these two mugs at a decent price and not have to feed the nasty sharks! LOL

That's horrible that at D23, these weren't packed up safely. I bought a mug and a wood elephant from animal kingdom when I went to WDW last year and they wrapped my items up very nicely, with lots of protection, and on top of that, a paper netting to hold it all in place. I was nervous to buy a mug and then fly home with it but I kept it with me in my carry on bag and all was good Hopefully, you can get replacements.......isn't it extremely expensive to ship to Australia???

Yes it is, I was trying to see if I could get Snow shipped to me directly from the Disney Store website and it added an extra $40 to the cost of the order :S.
Hence why I tried to buy as much items as I could while I was at the expo and just bring them with me. Unfortunately baggage handlers arent as caring about your bags as you would like them to be

OH NO THEY ARE NOT!!! I was at the airport with my lil brother a week ago and we were just watching the baggage handlers throw EVERY last bag, box and whatever else around like that could care less:/ I understand though, they're underpaid and tired probably but still:/

And unfortunately. Airlines take NO responsibility with compensation for broken items and luggage that gets messed up in the process...

Haha dont get me wrong I totally agree with you and int hat baggage handlers could care about the baggage at all and it is atrociuous seeing them load the bags up. Like yourself I understand that they may be underpaid and tried but if they really hated their job should they leave or at least take it out on their employer and not on the people's luggage who are just third party collateral to the entire fiasco haha.

I never understand why Disney US's shipping is so high internationally, I never pay that much ever. They must just think we are impatient and need it the next day as it is very quick although you then get the whopping customs charge on top!

Very true we are just innocent travelers!
