Hello and welcome to my humble bonus game, I'm afraid that the prizes may not be as extravagant as some other games but feel free to play all the same. The DPF has been a wonderful community to me and is still going strong at 10 years while other communities have come and gone.

The rules of the game are quite simple:

    • Entrant must be a DPF Member.
    • Winner must be willing to PM their mailing address or that of another member/address that they would like to be zapped.
    • Being the 4th bonus giveaway, there will be 4 winners with 4 different themed prizes to choose from; Prizes are shown below. Winners will be chosen via randomizer with prizes given on a 1st-choice basis. To shake things up a bit, the winners will be actually in reverse order from the end: the final four...
    • As a “Bonus Giveaway”, winning this game does not count towards your maximum wins in the regular giveaways.
    How do you enter???
    • Just reintroduce yourself below; yeah that's it... After 10 years, it has gotten a bit cumbersome to remember every member here...

It wouldn't feel proper if I didn't do it myself so here goes:
My name is Jim(coblj003) and you may remember me from either the Chatroom, Secret Santa, or the DPF Game Room. I currently live in "Southern" Illinois(not Chicago, exact opposite side of the state) though I grew up all over being a military kid; as such, I have had the opportunity to live close to both US based parks. I got into Disney Pin trading and collecting park memorabilia when I did the Disney College Program at WDW exactly ten years ago and have been obsessed with the hobby ever so slightly since. I love anything to do Main Street USA and Disney History/Heritage, which most of my collection is based on. Fun fact: my current address is actually on Main Street where I live...

    Bonus Prizes:

    Prize #1:
Live Action Mulan is set to release Sept 4th on Disney+ after Disney postponed it’s theatrical release(what timing :)), though the general consensus is that it’s missing some Mushu. This prize will at least try to offset that for fans of the original.

    Prize #2:
A little Sci-Fi pack for those of us who were looking forward to going to Galaxy’s Edge or attending Comicon. The former is on indefinite hold for the most of us...

    Prize #3:
For the Mickey & Minnie Fans, a Disney Cruise Line pin and themed Lanyard to have us looking forward when we can take cruises safely again...

    Prize #4:
For the Princess Fans of any age, a lanyard and starter pins to help get one’s collection started...

    Thank you for playing everyone...

Following, so I don't forget to enter "oficially", lol.

    So, here's my official entry:

My name is Don, I live in the Dallas Fort Worth area. I grew up here until I was 10, and then moved to Europe, where I lived for 7 years, then came back to the States to finish high school.
I am a lawyer by training, although that's not what I am currently doing, but I am in the legal field.
I love all the major sports teams in Dallas, but especially the Cowboys.
I have 3 children, one is autistic, one has a rare genetic disorder, and the youngest has dyslexia. Major challenges, but I love them to death.
I've collected pins for a little over two years now, but I also have lots of other Disney stuff that was kind of ancillary to pin trading, but made its way in to my life anyway, like keys!
I'm really grateful to be part of tbe DPF community. Even though I've never met any of you in person, it feels like we've become friends, especially @starry_solo, @Connies_Hobby, @maiarebecca and @timeerkat!
I guess I'm going to wrap it up now. Thanks for the bonus game, @coblj003!

Hi Jim! I'm happy to do an introduction!

My name is Rachel (or Rae, or MM), and I've been here and there and everywhere. I was born, raised, and currently live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with my family, who I roped in to this lovely pin collecting thing (read; obsession). Growing up on the east coast, we visited Orlando and WDW a few times, but I rediscovered my love of Disney in the last 6 years or so. I only began my pin journey (read; the freight train that has been acquiring any pin that I can get my little, grubby, Canadian hands on) a little less that two years ago. It was my first time ever heading over to Disneyland, and the one day that we spent at DLR turned me down the path of no return. Soon after I found this site and after about a month or two of lurking, I finally decided to join in the conversation. I love to travel, laugh, and spread joy in my wake. Food pins (I love eating and baking), Haunted Mansion, Attractions, and Zero/Nightmare Before Christmas pins are some of the things I collect, and I have finally taken the advice to narrow down my collections, though I still like a little bit of everything (Side note I grew up in the supermarket business so maybe my love of different foods comes from there). I am always finding a new favourite attraction every time I make it in to the parks, though I have still never been to Animal Kingdom, so perhaps my next trip to WDW will include a stop there. You can often find me in the chat, though I sometimes pop in to the threads and I am trying to get more involved, since though I don't seem like it I am a shy and nervous person. I feel blessed to have met some amazing people on this forum, and I can't wait to meet many more!

Oh, what a fun game! I hope a lot enter! :) Love having info to go with names I know! Here is a bit about me, which is probably going to get too long in the end, but hey . . . at least you'll know where I'm coming from, right? [IMG] I discovered this forum last year, from someone on PinPics. Been a super fun place ever since! I'm going to borrow some of my "bio" that I had to write for the Moderator bios on the other forum I'm on! So, don't think I was able to come up with this on the spur of the moment! -grin-

One of my favorite movie quotes is from the classic film noir, "Laura" -

I don't know a lot about anything, but I know a little about practically everything.

While I am far from everything . . . it basically sums me up. I'm not the type to be an expert on one topic. I like many things and try many things and am interested in learning about practically everything. I am what I call an Optimistic Cynic. Basically, I'm Jane from "Pride and Prejudice". However, after enough years of working enough huge conferences and going through a really bad car wreck and lawsuit . . . I've grown a layer of cynicism. So, I give everyone the benefit of the doubt but in the back of my mind, there is a part that gives no one the benefit of the doubt. However, the Jane in me usually wins until something really gets me down. There's a really funny line from a Cagney film - "I like people, and not seein' 'em, keeps me likin' 'em!" I have a temper, but it takes lot to get me boiling and gets over with very fast. Mom says I internalize too much. I also don't hold grudges. Maybe that's because my memory is where Mom's is now at 63. She laments her memory slipping, and I'm always trying to tell her . . . since mine is where hers is now, where will mine be in 30 years? [IMG] Everyone always ends up thinking I'm super young because I come across enthusiastic. I am enthusiastic. I dive into things gung-ho and love learning. I also am basically a happy person. And use a lot of exclamation points and smiley faces! So, sorry if I come across as sort of bowling people over. I'm just always interested in things!

So, a bit of my background --- My name is Elizabeth. I generally answer to Elizabeth, but mainly answer to anything! My family calls me Lizzy, two gents call me Liz, some call me Anne, Eliza, Beth . . . my music teacher called me Samantha for ages! (Don't know where he got it, but at least he knew which was me, and that's what counts!)

I have a twin sister (we are identical) named Sarah, who is the most fabulous Sister I could ask for! We are divergent in personality, but still do everything together! She is an archivist for a titled family in England (long-distance, that is) and one of the world's top needle-felters of faces. [IMG] I'm allowed to brag as she's my twin! We typically answer to "Girls" . . . and can count on our hands how many people can instantly tell us apart. Although, we don't see it. [IMG]

We are 32, although I think I am emotionally about 22. Sis and I were two months early, and have some issues from birth. Hence, we are and always have been strict vegetarians! I am very, very shy and don't do well in crowds or when I don't know you. Once I know you . . . I'm fine. [IMG] Also, not a telephone girl! I have a hearing issue from birth, and can't distinguish when there are multiple noise sources. So, that's one reason crowds and telephones are difficult.

My goal, hope, and prayer of life is to have a family of my own one day. I'd like a husband who wants a family and two children . . . Lord willing! Don't know many people our age, and the boys around our age that we do know are too busy playing and not ready to have responsibility. But, trusting God will show us when they are ready! We have never worked outside of the house, so all my collecting money comes from anything we make and sell. Or resell. So, my collecting budget is very limited and usually items are added around birthdays or Christmas! I love trading! Even beyond the budget saving of it, I love trading! I am a homebody, and love house chores and cooking and really love bread making! I'd rather have bread than sweets any day! Not much for outdoors, as I have allergies, and don't like to get dirty. However, I enjoy doing the weed-eating when Sis mows, as it is our companionable outdoor hobby. [IMG] Love to feed birds, and we have a lot of feeders around the house! We also have rescue cats. Three at the moment. When we rescued our first in 2005, we ended up getting a pregnant mother and ended up have 9 kittens. Only one of the originals and one of the kittens are still with us, and we got another one two years ago that was thrown out of a car at our house.

We live in Central Ohio on two acres, in an old farmhouse that began life as a one-room cabin (which is the living room now). I love to plaster and paint walls and we've been working at repainting the house.

Dad's family is from Cuba and escaped Castro when Dad was 4 1/2. He went to American public school and is completely bi-lingual. No accent, though, so you don't know that English is his second language. [IMG] Sadly, I am language deficient and, although I would love to know several of them, I don't speak anything but English! Mom's family is from Cleveland and Tennessee, of English and German heritage. Sis and I were born in Miami, moved away at 4 1/2 and lived in Tennessee until we moved to Ohio when we were 6. We don't fit in anywhere. In Ohio, if you aren't born in the town you live in, you are never from here. So, we are just two little displaced people! [IMG]

Sis and I were homeschooled all the way. We aren't city and we aren't country. Our era of choice is the 1935-55 range, generically speaking. Sometimes we go outside of that, but in general, that's it! We love anything WWII and anything British at all.

Collecting and Hobbies are two things I love! I have collected things for as long as I can remember! When I was little, it was library receipts and tea boxes. Now it is a bit more expensive than that! As far as non-military collecting . . . Lilliput Lane cottages head the list. They make me happy. They lose their value as soon as you buy them and serve no practical purpose, other than giving me immense happiness points whenever I look at them or think of them! I'm always looking for more, although it is harder now that the company closed. I also am nuts about anything to do with the Century of Progress (World's Fair of 1933-34 in Chicago). I don't have a lot of souvenir items, but am always on the hunt! Sis and I also collect Disney trading pins, and that is the only other online forum I'm on - one for pin trading! We are also absolutely nuts about Tolkien and the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit movies and seriously like memorabilia and weapon repros from either series!

Sis and I collect vintage song sheets (sheet music) from the approx. 1935-55 era. Some for covers, but most to play. We love music from that time! She plays violin (although not as much anymore) and I play piano. I have no ear, just play from sheet music. I went into lessons because Mom wanted me to take piano for two years. I wasn't against it, just not interested. So, I did and I still thank her to this day for insisting. Piano is one of the greatest stress-relievers for me, and a general relaxant. I love anything to do with piano!

I'm nuts about anything to do with diving, particularly SCUBA. So, I am working on a collection of Navy Diver badges, patches, etc. I have three of the US badges and two foreign patches. Always looking for anything diver related to add! I love the old TV show, "Sea Hunt"!

Sis and I are WWII movie nuts. from the WWII era going into the 60s, generally. We don't watch too many new movies or shows, other than some British period mini-series, mostly Jane Austen, Dickens, or Gaskell. Never had television, just home video. Sis and I love golden-era musicals, westerns, and war movies.

Books are a love, a collection . . . a Passion. We have a personal library of over 8,000 books, and that is still after a major downsizing in 2018 when we thought we would have to move. The back room upstairs has floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall book shelves and I clean them and every book once a year (in the middle of it now). A massive job of physical labour, but a joy the entire time for me! I love books.

Hobbies for me are as diverse as collecting. Piano, drawing (I like to do mostly graphite portraits and plants), assorted hand-crafting (dabble in leather, beading, wood carving, just starting clay work making doll accessories, etc.). I love hand-sewing! Sis and I have made mini wool dolls that we sell for years. I also do all the embellishing on her felted dolls (leather, beading, metal, sewing, embroidery, etc.). I began doing hand-embroidered patch repros a few years ago, and I've done a couple of painted leather patches, and am starting another. Hand-sewing, though, is something I really love doing!

One last thing . . . I love writing real, paper letters. Also sending out real parcel packages. Just for the fun of it, no reason. I love it when I've gotten mail, which doesn't happen often. So, I figure I am going to brighten other people's mail boxes! So, if you ever want to receive a real piece of mail . . . just holler! [IMG]

My name is Sarah, and I guess I better enter right now to get a spot in below my amazing Sis! In fact, I'm hitting the button and then editing right away to add more.

She covered pretty much all the bases as far as where we live, family history, etc. We did turn 33 this Summer, so we're a bit older than she thinks we are . . . not that it matters. My brain still feels like I'm 18 . . . most days. Sometimes I think it feels ancient! ;)

Pin trading has been a great hobby to share together, because it appeals to both of us in a big way. Lizzy is a "pack rat" and I am the total opposite (good thing, because we balance each other out into a mostly-happy medium). She likes to have a lot of things, and I like to have a few things (small things are my favorite). But with pins, she can have a million of them and they are small enough to fit into a decent area that appeals to both of us. And we have fun being able to trade things out as our interests move on at times.

I LOVE wool! Needle-felting is my all-time favorite hobby. You can see a lot of the dolls that I've made here: Little Kumquat: Handmade Needle-Felted Wool Doll Sculptures
I am also thrilled by various kinds of wool and fiber and trying them in projects. The conservation breeds are my very favorites, and I now have way over 200 different kinds and colors of wool.

My other passion is British history. I've spent years reading about William Wilberforce, the Clapham Sect and the Abolition of the Slave Trade -- which got me into the history of a certain Cornish family, for whom I've been a long-distance archivist for years now. Don't get me started on that topic, though, because it would never end! But it makes sense why my computer desk here is crowded with frames and nick-nacks that range from Baby Yoda, mini pin boards, Cuban family photos from the 1930s and a framed reproduction of a British Crimean War medal.

I play violin, so Sis (on piano) and I enjoy playing together. We like old hymns and pop music from the 1930s-1950s. Together, we probably have about 1,000 pieces of sheet music. Bing Crosby and Nelson Eddy are my two favorite singers (hence my forum name), and I'm very close to having the whole set of the rather elusive "Bing Crosby: The Complete Recordings" CDs!
[Edited to add: One of my all-time favorite songs is "Beloved" by Mario Lanza . . . but Lizzy says that song that describes me best is Doris Day's "Tacos, Enchiladas, and Beans".]

Oh, and I love American Girl dolls. Not a surprise, probably, but my very special doll is Nanea -- a Hawaiian girl. She is the reason that I got into collecting Aulani/Polynesian/Dole Whip/Hula Girl/Small World/Ariel pins. I have a doll blog featuring photo stories using American Girl dolls, in an effort to help kids today understand that you can have imagination and fun with your dolls without the use of a computer or tablet. You can set things up and make up stories using just your imagination and dolls!

When it comes to books, I tend to like non-fiction . . . but I LOVED reading The Prisoner of Zenda and its sequel, Rupert of Hentzau.

As far as Disney goes, I love Beauty and the Beast (animated version, sorry -- can't get used to the idea of live action) and Minnie Mouse. Well, and tons of other things . . . even the Ugly Bug Ball song! My current crazy obsession is Baby Yoda. I'm NUTS about him. I have a large plush, a pillow buddy, a talking small plush, a medium plush, an action figure, an LED light, posters, bed sheets, t-shirts, pins, etc. I can't get enough of him!! How fun would it be to do a whole Secret Santa box themed on this? A dream is a wish your heart makes . . . right?

Well, that probably fills in any gaps left that Lizzy didn't cover above. I totally agree with her about bread vs. sweets . . .
And yes, we love sending out mail!

Those wool dolls are crazy impressive. I noticed thee first Poirot was "for mom." I take it she's a fan? If so, she has very good taste. :) We love British mysteries and he's at the top of the heap for us.

Oh, yes . . . she's a fan! We had so much fun getting the autographed photo for the box! I'm a Christie nut myself. :) Poirot takes third place behind Mrs. Oliver and Tommy & Tuppence, though. :) Ever seen the London Weekend TV 80s versions of "Why Didn't They Ask Evans?" or "The Secret Adversary"?

Aren't the wool dolls amazing? I'm her sis, so I get to brag!

Speaking of British mysteries . . . have you seen Foyle's War?

Thank you. [Blushing face.] I love making them.
Yes, Mom is a fan of Poirot, and we've made several Poirot dolls for other fans (there was a big following when his show was still running). Getting that autographed photo for the doll box was quite amazing, as we had to print it at the correct size and mail it -- and Mr. Suchet actually took it home with him to get it mailed out before Christmas for us himself. :)

Love collecting hidden Mickey sets. Stitch, firefighter, 7 drawfs and other pins.I found this site a few years ago after attending a pin event in Orlando Florida while on one of our annual anniversary trips. Our anniversary just happened to also be the same time as Star Wars weekends. Attended every one except 2009. Love the new Galaxies Edge addition to Hollywood Studios.

Hey there! Thanks for another fun game! I’m Rick, from Rhode Island. Got into pin trading accidentally because my daughter fell in love with it during our Disney World trip a few years ago. We like to collect all different things but my daughters main collection is Lilo and stitch and my main collection is Mr toad. I found this community after being directed this way by someone on disboards. I believe it was @starry_solo but I could be wrong. Whoever it was thank you! This community is awesome and I’m happy to be part of it!

I'm Grace from New Jersey. I joined the forum years ago, when my daughter was first born, so I wasn't very consistent. We only got into pin trading more because of my nieces, who explained to me about pin trading at the Parks. And then we went to one of the CJDPT events here and got hooked. We realized we needed more traders, so I came back to the forum and found wonderful members here who helped with pickups. Also, when trading, if not done in-person at one of these events (we've only gone to two Saturdays of the weekend events), we've only done it with members of DPF. I like to collect things that remind me of fun activities my family has done - such as watching Big Hero 6 or Incredibles 2 together in the movie theater. Moana because we love going on vacations to Hawaii. And Pooh because that was the first Disney movie that my daughter loved as a toddler. My daughter likes to collect because she sees me collecting. She is really into Star Wars now, so her main interest is currently SW, as well as Incredibles (as she is a fan of Violet). Thank you to members here who have helped to fuel the fun of collecting, even if my husband shakes his head in bewilderment. :)

My name is Tina and I live in Canada.

I started collecting pins many years ago as a family fun thing to do while at Disneyland with our son. Now that he’s grown up, my husband and I still enjoy collecting and trading. I collect Chip n’ Dale and pins with books in them or as books, my husband collects Grumpy and Steamboat Willy and my son collects Stitch.

Not sure when or how I found this sight but have been grateful ever since - to find people who enjoy these little pieces of metal as much as I do. I’m not a big trader but love to participate in the forum games and of course love running my interactive games and auctions.

    Fun game...

I live in southern New Mexico, but originally from Michigan. My inroad to pin trading was similar to many others. Started trading (and doing it all wrong, but didn't know any better and we all have to start somewhere) at DLR with my daughter and friends. Became absolutely hooked and my pin trading skills are much improved (although always room for growth.) I still love searching for and collecting hidden mickeys.

@Booger1964 turned me onto this site when we were negotiating our first trade via pinpics.

I do very little social stuff on the internet, but really enjoy this community.
