How long should the auctioneer or the winner wait for their pin(s)? Can there be a rule/ruling place in the DPF Auction House for this.

Example: 2 week turnaround, 1 month for overseas?

What will Disney Pin Forum infraction be for violators? Are the auctioneer or winner allowed to "dramatize" their disappointment (without infractions from DPF?)? If so, how long do they have to wait?

If a pin(s) was sent with insurance, does anyone know what the USPS can do? If only delivery confirmation was used, what can USPS do?

I thought a rule/guideline would be beneficial to help out other members on the board?
 
Far as I am concerned take it as you will,as soon as the auctions are done,the two party's should send asap
unless there's something in their way that delays it,then both party's should contact each other to discuss that in pprivate messages or contact a moderater

As per staff, the usual recommended wait time is 2 to four weeks for domestic shipments and 6 to 8 weeks overseas,
Why to we wait so long in our recommendation?
A> packages as small as LBE get lost ALOT by the USPS,esp around the holidays, so in general we recommend this time,
B> Not everyone ships everyday, some folks only go to the PO once a week<albiet with 300 LBE but only once a week,righ Pixie>
C>Not eveyone checks the site every day,heck i work here, and i try to take weekends off<yeah right!>
So if you add all those factors, and a human,oops I forgot for a day or so, easily within 4 weeks domestic,
D<> and most important, what if, the package did just get lost,fell under a conveyer belt or whatever, wouldnt you feel really bad if
you went after someone and then the package arrived, alittle worse for wear, and probably bearing a PO note saying "gee we are so sorry, heres you package'
or even worse yet, imagine you sent the package and it hasnt arrived, would you want someone to give you the benefit of the doubt,

Now the the next part

Can there be a rule/ruling place in the DPF Auction House for this.


A>There may be this addition in future versions, but for the present: there are no known plans to revise auction house rules.

What will Disney Pin Forum infraction be for violators?

A> this is a serious matter to the staff of DPF, be assured there are several levels to this particular offense

Please note the three distinct levels of infraction that may be assed to a members account for auction/trade incompletions

1]Violation of Marketplace/Auction Rules (1 point, Expires in 60 days)

2]Unresolved Trade/Auction (2 points, Expires in 180 days)

2]Unresolved Dispute (3 points, Expires in 180 days)


Below you will find the point totals and the duration of bans.



  • 4 points = 2 week (14 days) temp ban
  • 6 points = 1 month (30 days) temp ban
  • 8 points = 2 month (60 days) temp ban
  • 12 points = permanent ban




Any one or any combination of infractions may be assed depending on situation and of course communication.<which is the key to any negotiation situation.>
You can do the math yourself and see that rapidly a seller/aucitoneer could be away from the community for a extended time.

Negative: Negative should be used only when a situation has not been resolved. A moderator or other DPF staff should always be contacted before negative feedback is left. We may be able to help. Negative feedback, simply, should be left only when a resolution cannot be made.

If the situation warrants a neg,thats why you can use that button however, we the staff will investigate if one is issued, if unwarranted we will seek to have it removed<again this is an admin only functions so we Mods will do what we can but we cant just push a button and fix it sorry>if warranted, we will take the appropriate action up to and including banning.


As was previously mentioned, between the choice of waiting for dramatization of loss,or not? We ask that you be adult about it, A generalized thread may ease your mind to discover this is not the first time, or that the situaition was an I love lucy<old show kids , ignore the greybeard in the corner>oopss mistake, However a slam on, or flame out thread wil certainly end up with some funny colored text mail showing up in your inbox<see rules on attacks or libel> as well as the thread deleted and you most likely losing several opinion pts for poor behavior, so I wouldnt and lets just leave that alone...
