Maybe for the very first time we sign up, you can throw in something like a DPF pn or lanyard as a "gold" present. Now, that would be awesome.
 
An Ipod/Ipad App!! While were at it, can pinpics get an app too??? Oh and yes I think this could be a good idea. Not sure if it would discourage others from participating but...
 
I love this idea.. When do we start?? Not sure what else we could add to Gold membership.. Everything mentioned above is great.. Maybe text message notification of emails..
 
This is a really good idea! Not sure if I'd be able to sign up right away but I definitely agree it would be a good way to help the site!

Yes like a GOLD DPF logo next to our screen names :0) But not an "Award" icon those should not be available for purchase . . .

I'm not interested in the perks...but do like the idea of an option to pay per year to help support DPF and keep it running.

Just kidding, but this gold membership thing would be cool. It'd be also cool for members to get all Gold DPF pins as a signing bonus!
 
Wouldn't mind helping DPF, but as far as the fee-two things. Could it be done in installments, or can it be membership due in April or May after refunds. Paying in the beginning of the year is a killer (holidays wiped the bank account), and summer sucks (teacher and we don't get paid in the summer).
 
I'm guessing you could become "gold" whenever you wanted and that it would be a year long membership - but Better Idea maybe we could break it down to 6 month terms and then have set months when you have to pay to make it easier on the mods to keep track. :0) And that way the cost is broken down into two payments.
