DSF's next trading event will take place on Sunday, March 22nd from noon to 3 pm PST. The theme is Cinderella Royal Pin Trading Event, and the pin releases will be based on the new live action Cinderella. Reservations open on Monday, February 23rd at 9am PST, reserve your package by calling 818-845-3110.

Oh! Wow, so that's when those storybook pins were released...Okay, I'm excited to see which pins will be available during this event! I wonder if they'll be all Cinderella (both from the new live-action & animated movies) or if they'll sneak in other characters too. ;)
 
Didn't they mention a Princess Marquee Puzzle (like the Pixar one they did last year)? (Someone posted a pic somewhere...) Maybe that will be released at this event...
 
Event details were posted this morning. I have edited the OP with the new information.

This event will be like the NBC event last October - paid admission with two different tiers. 300 tickets total, 150 for each tier. Both tiers have an exclusive pin, access to purchasing the event pins, a PTD voucher, and "pin trading activities"; the higher tier additionally gets brunch, a gold marquee pin, an additional PTD voucher, and priority for purchasing event pins (as some are lower LE than 300). Registration opens on February 23rd at 9am PST.

Also note that the date of the event has moved one week later, from March 15th to March 22nd. This is due to the LA Marathon taking place on the 15th and the course being right alongside DSF.

Also of note is that some event pins are higher LE than 300. These additional pins, and whatever else hasn't sold out at the event, will go on sale at DSF on Monday, March 23rd.
 
I was able to get a Royal Ball ticket. After waiting 40 minutes, I was able to get through. I was able to get all the pins except the Cinderella jumbo pin. They said because I was only getting one ticket I could only get either the Cinderella jumbo or the carriage pin, so I choose the carriage pin. I didn't realize you had to buy 2 tickets to get both.

This will be my first Pin Event! I can't wait to see people in person. Anyone can give me some tips on how the event will be and what I can expect. Will there be a pin board to trade with as well as with other guests?

I think you were inadvertently given mis-information. You were entitled to both pins.

I recommend you call DSSH ASAP and ask to discuss this matter with one of the managers there – because – DSSH will be calling thepurchasers of the Trading package and offer them the opportunity to pre-purchase any of the two Jumbos not pre-purchased yesterday.

If things are about the same as they were at the last Event,this is what you can expect…

One pin board available when the Royal Ball Package folks enter the area an hour or more before the Trading Package folks are allowed in and then a second trade board will be added. A mystery LE-for-LE trading barrel will also be added. CMs may also be wearing lanyards. Many event attendees will have brought pins to trade with other event attendees.

Call back and speak to another representative. You should have been able to purchase one of each.
 
Good luck in getting the second pin! I hope you don't have too many problems getting it.

I knew about the trading boards (though I hope they wont be too picked over by the time the Trading Package people are let in), but I didn't know about the LE barrel. Is it supplied with the LE pins other attendees bring in, or are they DSF-supplied?

I'm also hopeful to win something in the raffle. Do they often have good prizes? Or is it mostly things like the Muppets passports that didn't sell?

It's usually le pins, prototypes, framed sets, ap dsf pins (sometimes bts or ptds) and lower end prizes are like 100$ of ghiradeli chocolate to smaller gifts baskets worth 30$

Thank you all for your helpful comments. I was able to call DSSH and they added the Jumbo pin to my order. It was not really a hassle. They fixed it right away.

The pin boards and LE barrel sound great. I will need to get my pins together. I am flying down for the weekend to visit family and go to the event.
