This pin has been one of my "modern Grails" (most of mine are old Disney Auctions pins, ha) since it was announced in April. When they finally shipped and started popping up for sale, I missed several at "reasonable mark-up" prices ... and I determined that even I, the Fiscally Irresponsible Person, had a limit on how much I would be willing to pay to add this beauty to my collection.

Well, enter a trio of fairy godmothers (well, two godmothers and a godfather!) who worked together to help me get this pin as close to cost as possible! Li (starry_solo) told me she would be attending the recent Anaheim pin trading event with sponsorship from Kristina (ksnuggles). One of the highlights of the event was a raffle for the chance to purchase many of the Acme Hot Art releases at close to cost. Kristina very kindly allowed me to "share" Li and added the Alice pin to her RSP. Li also asked Ed (DisneyTechGeek) to put the Alice pin on his RSP--and apparently his was the name that was called in the raffle!

So I want to thank Kristina for graciously agreeing to share Li's sponsorship with me, and Ed for pitching in and letting me "steal" his win, and most of all to Li, for being the mastermind and doing all the legwork and for making such excellent use of bubblewrap, ha ha ha. None of them "had" to help me out, but they did, and that means as much as any other kind of zap. I probably would not have gotten this pin if they hadn't been so kind. I absolutely LOVE it and I am very, very grateful to you all! <3

Alice I am so glad you got this pin. I am glad I was able to help in a very small way since Li did all the work, but I was happy to hear that she was able to get this for you.
