Hi! :wavey:

My name is Jessica and I collect Snow White's Prince pins (if you couldn't guess).

I've been away from pin trading for a number of years (pesky college education) but I've been reacquainting myself for the past few weeks.

I loved Dizpins and my username on PinPics (which i also love) is Jessica. I am the owner of a few pin groups on PinPics (the highlight of course being Characters - Snow White's Prince.)

I've attended a number of WDW pin events over the years (The Search For Imagination, Journey Through Time, A Family Pin Gathering, Lights, Camera, Pins! (and more I can't quickly recall.)) You can tell my the lack of recent events that I have not been active lately. I have all four of the original WDW cast lanyard series - that I traded for myself in the parks - but I have none new Hidden Mickeys. So that gives you an idea of how long I have been gone.

But we just moved into a new house, and as all my frame sets came out of storage, they reminded me of how much I loved this. So I've been trying to get my Prince collection current and figure out whats been happening in pin trading lately.

I found this forum because my ebay alert for Snow White turned up the new Designer series and the gorgeousness that is the Snow White Prince pin (and the INSANE prices) had me searching for new information. That pin is now my holy of holies and the least likely pin I will ever get my hands on.

So sorry for the long winded into, but I'm happy to be here!

What an interesting collection! I've never heard of anyone who specifically collected Snow White's prince. (His name is Ferdinand, right?) May I ask what got you started on collecting him? Were you in love with him as a little girl? :) Just curious!

Welcome to the forum! My name is Sara. I collect lots of themes, but my favorites are Figaro and Peter Pan. I hope you like it here. :)

Hi Sara! In recent years, people have started saying his name is Ferdinand, but I'm not one of them, lol. He was never named in the Disney movie, so he is "The Prince" to me :)

On to how I came to collect him... When I was young, my mom would put on a Disney movie for me to watch while she did things around the house. Every time - WITHOUT FAIL - she would magically be in the tv room just as the Prince showed up and she'd yell "Is that the Prince?!" beating me to the punch - I was always trying to spot him first so that I could yell it in her direction. It blew my mind and frustrated me to no end. (My mom could also make stop lights change from red to green by saying "Change, light, change")

It was one of my favorite memories, so when it came time to pick a character to collect, I choose him. (When I first started pin trading, you could find Prince pins on cast member lanyards, so it was always fun to say "Is that the Prince?!" when one was spotted.

How did you come to choose Figaro?

That is such a cute story! Now I wish I had some Prince pins I could send your way. ;)

As for the name Ferdinand, I kind of feel the same way about The Beast. (I almost always just call him "The Beast" even though I guess Disney named him Adam at some point.)

Oh, I collect Figaro because as a little girl, I had a black and white cat named Oreo that I was absolutely obsessed with. Figaro, also being a black and white cat, was naturally one of my favorite Disney characters... and still is! :)

I love your Oreo/Figaro story! I love that we both have childhood connections in our pin trading :)
