ZAPPED! GRAIL ZAPPED by bcol!!!!! :O
So the other day I was opening up my mail, and since I was already expecting a couple of packages, I wasn't even bothering to look at the return addresses. I opened up one of the LBEs and was puzzled to see something that looked like a figurine, which I definitely hadn't ordered. So I flipped the envelope over and finally looked at the return address - it was from BRUCE, aka @bcol. How did I recognize his address? Because it's his freakin' RAK MONTH. Yes, this man actually had the audacity to zap me during his RAK! And not just any zap, a freakin' GRAIL ZAP.
It turns out that the figurine was in fact a Tangled Christmas ornament. Now idk if this was just pure coincidence, or another case of a DPF member being unbelievably thoughtful (I suspect it's the latter.) But back when @Disneychildwithin zapped me that amazing Megara ornament a couple months ago, I *casually* mentioned that I want to do an all-Disney themed tree next Christmas, but don't actually have many Disney ornaments, so I'm going to try to gradually collect some over the year. I actually had to go back to the thread to double check that I even posted about this, because I only vaguely remembered saying it. But much like @LittleBird and her sneaky Joanna zap, I'm pretty sure Bruce must have committed my offhand remark to memory and tailored this gift special for me. Or else he has psychic powers. Either way, I love it!!!
What makes it extra perfect is that it's from the Tangled TV show, not the movie. Don't get me wrong, I like the movie! But it copied a lot from my beloved Anastasia, yet Tangled is the more popular film, so yeah, I have a bit of a grudge lol (I take movies WAY too seriously. xD) But I totally love the TV show!!! It's so cute and funny! I've seen every episode. And I love that this has Cassandra on it - y'all know I love me a brassy, sarcastic chick (see: username.) Also, Punzie's hair is so gorgeous! It's hard to tell from the pic, but it's got this shiny, metallic kind of paint that makes it look like it's glowing!
Anyway, that's not even the best part. There was also something hidden under several layers of bubble wrap. As I began to unwrap it, I could suddenly make out what it was, and my jaw dropped.
YOU GUYS. This is seriously one of my biggest grails!!! Exhibit A:
I've never been able to find a trade for it, and it's totally out of my price range. And Bruce just GAVE it to me. Just like that. I have no words, so gifs will have to do.
Seriously, I am so touched. We have the most amazing community ever, and I'm constantly blown away by the kindness and generosity I've both received and witnessed, as well as the thoughtfulness and personal touches that go into things like this. Thank you so, so much Bruce!!! And jeez, thanks a whole lot for upstaging me during your own RAK. xD Check your mailbox, btw!
