Hello everyone,

I have recently signed up to the website after being my love for pin trading! After spotting some videos online of pin trading I got my father in law to purchase me some while in Florida.

I went in 2014 and started collecting some mystery packs and have since decided to focus my collection on Beauty and the Beast since it is my favourite movie. Being in the UK we have very little options available for direct Disney purchase with the EU Disney Store stocking very little. I am worried about buying via ebay and since reading these forums I am not sure if it is a good idea to do Cast Member trading when I go to Florida later this year.

I would be interested to know where other UK collectors get their pins from or where ebay is fine provided you do your research first.

I look forward to getting to know you all :D

Welcome to the forums!! Personally I would avoid eBay, the chance for fakes is unpredictable. Just look around the forums and maybe someone has some pins you're looking for.

Welcome to DPF!

:)

Being that you are in the UK, I would like to mention that there are a lot of people here who trade via mail for UK pins! You could always get some LEs from the official website and trade them for pins that you do want from other places! Keep an eye open future release announcements that people seem to be excited about! They really do make good traders!

eBay can be hit or miss, but if you do research on the pins that you want (and the sellers) after a while you will start to notice red flags a lot easier and make better purchase decisions. As a rule I don't buy from people who have negative feedback stating that something was a fake/scrapper, or people who have sold many of the same pin in the past, etc.. Also of course avoid the pin "lots" altogether.

There is a ton of good information here and so many nice people that will be happy to answer any of your questions or give their opinion on a pin that you are concerned about!

I hope you have a blast in Florida later this year too!
