I checked on Thursday, it's Hat Box, they have the pins displayed at the tour desk. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture. It's a full figure pose of him, and it came with a certificate. Hope this helps.
@Disneylandforever thank you for the info and photo I'm glad to see this year's pin is better than last year's in my opinion!
@pincrazy this year's tour pin is certainly fabulous, thank you for the info!
@ CCofRR13 it is a specialty tour only offered at DL. I dont know the specifics of what the tour is exactly I found out about it last year when reading about the differences offered at DL vs WDW on what they have going on during halloween. I wish WDW had something like this during Halloween!
I went on it last year and signed up again this year. We rode 4 rides and had a couple different treats during the 3 hour tour. It's a little corny but if you know that going in, it's good. I'm mostly doing it again for the pin. If you have specific questions, feel free to pm me!
If you want, they'll let you buy just the pin for the cost of the tour. At least they let me the last two yrs in a row. I just didn't feel like staying that late for the tour. At least buying the pin only is cheaper than Ebay prices usually.
^ I've asked on behalf of friends and they wouldn't let me just get the pin. They said I had to do the whole tour. (I asked on different occasions and got the same answer.) Just by comparison
When I took the tour 2 yrs ago, they didn't hand out the pin till the end of the tour. Also they mentioned that the tour this year didn't include Tower of Terror, but also said it could change.
Last year we didn't go into CA Adventure and we got our pin at the end of the tour as well. I had heard they would not give out the pin unless the tour was taken.
Were these 2 pin only requests turned down at WDW or DLR, because the last 2 yrs in a row at DLR, they let me just buy the pin (for the full cost of the tour). I don't see what difference it makes to them whether or not the tour is taken, Disney still gets their money.
