Hello and welcome. I am fairly new to the forum but have been collecting for 2 years. I used to just collect everything but that was just impossible. So I had to narrow it Down to my favorite characters and rides. Or what I was most interested in. Also, build up some good traders. When I would try to trade I really never had anything anyone wanted so no one would trade with me. If u find deals on popular characters or if you buy extra limited editions get them for trading. But, most of all have fun. I have sooooo much fun trading and meeting new friends to talk pins with. And here on DPF everyone is so nice and welcoming. I've made some good trades and buys here I am sure you will find what u r looking for here. Good luck and have fun. 🙂
 
Hi, welcome to DPF! 🙂

I've only been collecting and trading for about 8-9 months, but the best thing I've learned so far is building up traders is super important. For one, you never know what someone else might have (a character they're not too interested in, but you are!) and if you start wanting harder to find pins, even if the traders you have aren't equal in value 1:1, you will sometimes have an opportunity to trade multiple pins for a harder to find pin you really want. 🙂

Also, if you don't know about counterfeit or scrapper pins yet, keep a close eye on the pins you may want to trade with Cast Members at the park. There are several posts on this forum you can read up on about this.
