Hey! My name's Nathan. I just started pin collecting recently and found this site and thought it'd be fun to join.
I'm 17, near Orlando, and, quite honestly, a bit of a dull fellow.
I'm into Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Homestuck.
I'm still not 100% sure on what pins I intend on collecting.
Probably The Lion King, Brother Bear, UP, and The Arisocats.
Hopefully you guys can point me in the right direction with these things. c:

Hey Nathan welcome to the Board. If you like Dr. Who, do you watch Torchwood. I don't care much for the new Doctor, but I really like Torchwood. Good luck with your pin collecting and maybe you should come to the public night on Thursday at the Coronado Springs Resort. It would give you a chance to meet a lot of traders and make some trades. Then there is public day at the Florida Project on Sunday from 2-6 PM. More chances to get those pins you can't live without. Welcome.
One of the great things about pins and pin collecting is that there is no right or wrong way to collect these highly addictive shiny pieces of metal. I would recommend that you select a theme/character (or a few, depending upon the theme/character chosen) in order to keep your collection under control and maintain some semblance of a bank account, but otherwise, if you love a pin and it makes you smile, I think it's a good pin for you to collect. Give it time and you'll figure out exactly what you want to collect.
I completely agree with Margaret; you should come to both public night on Thursday and public day on Sunday. Both days will give you an opportunity to meet some pin traders, maybe (gasp) trade a few pins, and see if you can figure out which pins you might want to collect.
