Hi, everyone!

I'm Sarah from Ohio, and I am absolutely brand new to this whole pin trading world. As of this moment, I own exactly zero pins - except what's in the mail!

My husband and I collect lots of other things (action figures, rare books, and Magic cards, just to name a few), so when we saw people trading pins at WDW earlier this month, we were instantly fascinated. After a truly staggering amount of hours researching the topic online, I did my best to find some honest sellers and went on a shopping spree. And now I'm obsessively checking my mailbox!

It's hard to narrow down a collection that hasn't even really begun yet, but so far I'm most interested in Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan (especially Hook), and Beauty and the Beast pins. My husband Matt loves The Little Mermaid, Treasure Planet, and Robin Hood.

We're heading back to WDW in October and will definitely be trading there, but I don't think I can wait that long, so I guess internet trading it is! This is by far the best site I've found - everyone seems so helpful and friendly. I'm so excited to hopefully get to know some awesome new people as I explore this new hobby.

Wow, that got long...kudos to anyone who made it through the wall of text!

Happy trading!

- Sarah

sweet. You are in trouble btw...these glorious little pieces of art are addicting....i highly recommend you stop now. lol

Friends don't let friends pin purchase. Leave while you still have money in your wallet. This is a pin-tervention from the DPF community to you. If you do not heed this advice then welcome to our poor folk community.

*Emphatically waves

But now I see everyone's signatures and see more pins I want...almost 24 hours without buying one...I'm in withdraw...

Hello, all! Thank you for the warm welcome!

@tyleet87, we collect mostly first edition and signed fantasy novels. Love going to book signings when one of our authors is in the area! Last one we made was Joe Hill, fantastic guy.

@Chrono - hi sweetheart <3

hi and welcome!!!!!!!!! I started trading/collecting a month ago. =) It is very addicting and super fun and exciting! I get so excited I dont sleep the night before we go to disneyland (even though we live 45 min away)... so it's kinda crazy LOL I just get so antsy for what people will have and what I have and I just want to trade/collect! You know your in over your head when you start to have pin dreams...where your trading or sorting, re organizing your pins.... LOL yea.... it's so bad... <cry> my wallet and I are at war with each other these days also.. =(

Anyhow yes you found your home! This is by far the best site for talking, discussing real/vs fakes and finding friends! Hope to see you in the chat room someday soon! =) This community is really the best, such a nice tight knit group!
