Hello everyone. I'm Tinks_In_Neverland and have always been a disney fan however I'm new to pin trading I only started May of this year after I brought back a few pins all the way from Walt Disney World back to the rainy little United Kingdom for my fellow disney loving friends. However though new I can now say I am the proud owner of over 100 LEs and both an ariel and an aurora art of pins, the jessica rabbit villains and a hand full of princess fairy tale hall portraits amongst countless beloved others.
My main collections so far are;
•anything art of,
•princesses, particularly tiana, ariel, rapunzel and sleeping beauty
•characters dressed as others
•Shapes symbolising characters for example the shoe pins and the cast costumes
•Jessica rabbit (as her self)
•jessica rabbit dressed as others
•Rides, space mountain, jungle cruise and hauted mansion
•villains
I would really like some help with my signature and help with just Generally getting to grips with this site. Any tricks or tips would be greatly appreciated. Plus would love to make friends and can already see this is such a friendly community
thanks for reading xx

Welcome to the gang. Sounds like you got the bones of your future collection pretty planned out - awesome! There are some amazing pins in those collections.

Thanks guys, I feel right at home now Snow made me an amazing signature Can't wait to receive some of those bad boy pins and get these babies crossed off :naughty:

Total noob question Please can someone actually explain how a trade / auction works please and maybe any serious rules I should know about?

And thank you all for the warm welcome

First of all, welcome!

To answer your questions somewhat:

If you are planning to use this site for trading and auctions, there should be a "sticky" post near the top of each area letting you know the rules. Trading usually involves either you posting a thread in the Pin Trading forum with what you are looking for or what you have that you want to trade away - there is an option to select when making your post in there for "Wanted" or "Trading", respectfully, or you can just browse what others have posted that they are looking for or trading away. Once you find an interest, you can post a comment on what you have or that you are interested, but deals will usually take place between the two of you in private through the message system on here or email depending on what either of you feel more comfortable with. We have a feedback system to help provide people with information on past successful trades and sales/purchases. I recommend checking out the other person's profile and such before making a decision to trade, while you are still new and don't know everyone yet. Pins are typically mailed, so it's good to know that people are trustworthy!

Auctions are typically when someone posts the pin (usually valuable or rare) or pin sets they want to auction away, and other members can bid what pin(s) they are willing to basically trade for it. Members compete for the auctioned pin(s) by repeatedly increasing their offer or changing it to something they think would be more appealing. The difference between an auction and a trade is that the person auctioning their pin(s) MUST accept an offer no matter what. They also have to post a time limit that the auction will stay active and make their decision at the end of that limit. The person auctioning their pin(s) also typically updates who is "currently winning" so others can try to offer more appealing trades. Cash cannot be offered, only other pins.

Hope I didn't ramble too much!

Enjoy DPF! We're glad to have you!
