Hello everyone.
I'm Ryan from Missouri.

My family and I have been to WDW a few times before, but it was our recent visit over Christmas when we decided to take interest in pin trading. It started out as a few collectibles for the theme parks we visited and our resort... then a few misc pins and before we knew it we were hunting down cast members. We weren't real familiar with what made some pins more collectible than others, but we still had a lot of fun. Each evening I would remove the kids favorite pins to prevent accidental trading, then head out the next morning seeking pins that were fun and appealing to a young boy and a young girl. My wife and I let the kids make their own choices on trades... after all, they knew as much about the pins as we did. It was a blast and added another element of fun to our theme park visits.

I found this forum as I became curious on how others were displaying their collections... so, I spend most of my time on this forum hiding in the Pin Showroom. Many of you have some impressive collections!

Right now, I'm thinking of covering cork board with fabric or painting it and then frame it with a unique picture frame. If you have any display tips, I would love to hear them.
Also, for limited edition pins... remove them from the packaging or no?

Hopefully soon I will be able to post some of our display pics.

Hi Ryan, welcome to the forum! My wife and I went to college in St. Louis, and don't live too far from there now! We are also new to trading and are getting a feel for display options. We currently have a cork board where we've organized some of our pins. We went to Hobby Lobby and got a frame for our BATB pins. We stenciled a rose and plan to spray paint some cork and attach it to the frame to have a sort of 'customized BATB display.' We'll see how it goes - we have the materials, just haven't done the work yet. Best of luck on yours!

Hey Ryan, welcome! :wavey:
Stick around and you'll learn plenty. I've been around a few weeks and in being active I've been able to really learn quite a bit. Enjoy

@eutectic2011 Awesome. We are not too far away from STL either... hoping to make a trip to Hobby Lobby this weekend. We'll see how it goes.

Sara, this looks great. Much better than being pinned to bathroom towels and tucked away for no one to see. Yes, that's where my pins are at this moment.
