Hey everyone! I'm new to the pin game and I'm looking to meet knowledgeable veterans to help me sort out some of the craziness! I recently dived in head first (is there any other way to go??) and started to collect. I've watched endless videos and read endless articles regarding scrapers and fakes. My head is spinning lol I'm hoping maybe some of you can help me verify some recent purchases. Ebay is so tricky, sellers dodging questions, not helpful or honest in some cases and pinpics (super helpful) mostly shows pics of the front of the pin, not so much of the back……any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you :)
Kristie

For the life of me I can't get images to attach. I'll have to figure this out tomorrow! bedtime for now :) thank you!

Kristie, hello andwelcome to the forum! I have been helpeda lot regarding fakes by the people here, and they have all been so nice to me,very patient dealing with a newbie! Ijust learned how to post pictures, and I will paste in another member's methodwhich is what worked for me:

"…Iwrite the HTML myself instead of using the bit in the comment box. upload thepicture online somewhere like tumblr, Facebook, imageshack and so on.... rightclick, image info and copy its url. then type (without all the spaces)
[ i m g ] PASTE IT HERE [ / i m g ]
Vola! you have your picture."

I uploaded my photos to my pinterest page, and thenfollowed the instructions above, entering the info into the response box. Hope this is helpful to you!

AWESOME! Thank you so much! I just couldn't figure that little mess out haha I'll get to posting tonight. Again, thank you for your help :)

Welcome to the forum! :) you can usually tell by their feedback whether an ebay seller sells real pins or not

Hi and welcome! There are some very knowledgeable people here to help with pin authenticity. Just a couple of quick tips regarding buying pins on ebay, like tkdgirl said, check feedback. Also, be very cautious with LE 100 and LE 250 pins - if the seller has several of them (check items sold), that is not a good sign. It does not automatically make them fakes but what are the chances of one person having several of the same LE 100 pin.....slim to none.
