help with posting new threads

Evidently, I can post new threads only in certain fora. Is there a minimum number of posts required before I can start a new thread? I wanted to post a thread in the trading forum. At the bottom of the page, it says I may not. Help?

You need 30 posts to start threads in the Marketplace. And permissions don't update immediately, so it can take several hours after your 30th post, until the next permissions check by the server.

Thanks! I do a lot more reading than posting.

As it is, Hubby and I are trying to significantly reduce our pins. We have up for trade pins I never thought we'd put up. Not that they're rare or anything--if anything, they're mostly just kinda old. And we're not foolish, we know that we'd likely have to give more than one--or many, for that matter--for one of our wants.

Almost; you'll need to have been a member here for at least 10 days in addition to having the 30 posts. Then yes, you should be able to start threads in the Marketplace (including the Sale Boards).
