Hi Folks,

I'm new here also and just wanted to say many thanks to those who contributed to the information threads.

My fiancee and I are fairly new Pin collecting and have just decided on our collection themes!

I have a general question about trading in the parks (specifically DL CA);

How should a newb approach folks at tables (often seen outside of Buzz or Westward Ho)? I'm sure everyone is real friendly, but some peeps seem to be a bit intimidating. I'm not looking to trade right away, I'd just like to know which type of my Pins from home I should bring to the parks.

Thanks!

Welcome to the site. I think if you would just do what you did here and say you are new and are looking to grow your collection and people most times are happy to help. Good luck.

Hi! I am new too, and also from San Diego. I am looking for people here to either 1) carpool with or 2) cooperate trips so we don't have to go up once every two weeks to get the awesome LE pins. Let me know what you look for and maybe we can help each other out!

Welcome Nick! As far as approaching a table, just pick someone who appears friendly and approach them. Briefly explain that you are new to trading and ask to see their pins. If they're a troll, you'll know it right away by their response; say thanks and move on. Smart traders will welcome you to the hobby because they know new traders are what keep their 'investment' safe and truly love what they are doing and want to spread the love of the hobby. Best of luck!
