Hii,

My name is Kelly (Yes, I spelled my own name wrong on my phone.. sleepyhead) and I am 22 years old. I live in The Netherlands. I have visited Disneyland Paris 2 times, in 2001 and in 2007.. Nowww, this weekend I'm visiting again! With my boyfriend because monday is our 5 year anniversary. I am soooo excitedddd! He's not a big Disney fan, but I'll convert him slowly step by step. I have Pet Rats as um, Pets! Currently I have 2 Boys, Chubby and Charlie and 2 on the way which we'll be picking up from the Rattery when we get back from our Disney Visit.

Pins are completely new to me, I have one pin. Which I got for free at the thrift, an Arthus Bertrand Sitting Ariel Pin. I'm bummed now that I didn't pick up the Minnie one to trade. So currently I am browsing to find some pins to take with me to trade, carefully watching if they are real pins. I wanted to buy a lot on ebay untill I researched a little more on the Pins. Now hopefully I don't get fake pins whilst I'm at the Parks, I've been reading some and I hope my untrained eye can spot the differences..

Now, whenever I decide to collect something, I go a little mental. Or completely mental, only to find myself bored of the collectibles a few months later. So I am trying to take the pins slowly, which is already becoming very hard. But still I'm trying. Okay, I want to collect; Peter Pan, Tangled, Beauty & The Beast, The Little Mermaid, Ratatouille. Other than that I will pick up characters that I really like such as, Lady and the Tramp, Cinderella, Aurora, Aristocats, Pinokkio, Aladdin and Jasmine, Toy Story, Bambi... Heck... A lot :) But I will try to restrain a bit in the Parks, since I also NEED a Hoodie, Picture Frame, and perhaps a Pillow Pet (it's not like I'm aaaalmost 23 and have a Unicorn and Panda one on my bed, that's a total lie.

I think that's about it? Byeee!

Welcome, Kelly! It's good that you did some research and didn't support the scrapper sellers.

It's too late for your trip, but there are many people who are lightening their collections and selling legit pins on DPF for cheaper than you can get in the parks. Check the For Sale forum! If you don't have a lot of pins to trade, that's a good way to bulk up your lists.

Hope you enjoy your trip! :)

Thanks!

And I am sure I will, I am sooo excited! I've been crying just thining about it.. which is probably weird :') I found my 13 year old autograph book, it only has about 4.. So I'm going to do some character hunting. And I'm going to make them put someone into the Piglet suit because I've been trying to find that little bastard for 13 years..

When I arrive there is a Pin Trading Night, and I kind of want to attend just to get the pin. I doubt their will be people selling their pins? Because I do not want to glare at all of the pretty pins and not be able to participate. Currently there are 22 pins on their way to me of which I want to keep 10.. So I have 12 pins to trade :)

Aah, I can't open up a topic at the Marketplace, but I just had an idea!

Are there any pin collectors going to either the Pin Trading Night or the Parks that have nice pins or traders up for sale? ^^
I'll be there from the 28th till March 3rd :)

Welcome to the forum! If you go to Disneyland Paris, you might want to pick up some Frozen (if they have any) and Rapunzel pins, even if they are open-edition, if your budget allows. Lots of people are looking to trade for those, I think. :)
