Hey all.

So I am heading to WDW this weekend with my team for cheer nationals. I won't have a ton of time to just stand around and pin trade (booooo!) but I am going to bring a selection of pins with me to trade.

So where are the best trading spots at the parks? I know there is a bunch of tables at EPCOT by the pinstore but the last two years I've been there it has been just one lady taking up all the tables with lots and lots of books of rack/lanyard pins. I think the downtown disney trading area has been shut down (or so it seemed last year).

Any tips or advice? Anything cool I should make sure to bring with me trade? Are DSF pins pretty common there or good to bring? Any other parks except epcot have tables?

Ok, thanks floridians!

Hey, hey! Where are you staying? Several of the Disney resort hotels offer trader boards in the gift shops. Have had great luck there. Also at the Contemporary gift shop. At Hollywood Studios, the customer service place (not sure of correct title)-when you first enter to park, take immediate left..they have a pin book where I have found some just released pins and LEs before.

Have fun trading!

Amy,
My last trip to WDW was in Nov. I could only find the tables at EPCOT to trade with non-CM's. But I did discover that every resort has trading books or boards .... At least the deluxes do. Just go up to the concierge desk and ask to see their pin books. Also, unlike DL, almost every cast member has a lanyard. The biggest problem I found with that though .... U come across the the same pins over and over again. Enjoy your trip ... ( we're going in mid April) and I'll be checking this thread for more info :anxious:

Didn't see too many soda fountain pins ... but I wasn't really looking for those. Also ... Our Disneyland pins (The world of color pins with the disneyland logo ...aaa, costco, Disney travel) were a HUGE hit .... it seemed eveyone wanted those .... we got some decent pins that we needed from the traders at EPCOT for them.

Hi! I've arrived back in the UK today after a little over a week in WDW - my thoughts as I saw them:

1. There were NO DSF pins anywhere to be seen
2. I arrived on the Friday of the Contemporary Pin Night - the following 2-3 days the Cast Member lanyards were very sparse of decent pins - talking to a CM the lanyards were stripped very early (during EMH) by "traders" purely to grab the new Hidden Mickey pins
3. Towards the end of the week the lanyards were being refreshed & I managed to pick up the HM pins I wanted & there were also some Cast Exclusives on offer
4. The tables at EPCOT were used by a few traders (mainly the same people day after day) - various offerings from new HM to low edition LE's (to be honest I didn't bother with these other than a cursory glance!)
5. The pin boards scattered about the Guest Relations offered very little apart from starter pins & an increasing amount of scrappers - also check out the Camera store at Magic Kingdom & the Pin Trading store in Frontierland (hat & washboard)
6. CM lanyards were full of scrappers - I witnessed several traders pulling pins from little plastic baggies
7. Check out DTD Pin hut for a trading board - hours are very sporadic & 6.30pm in World of Disney store & Mousegears pin board at 1 & 5pm (or thereabouts!!)

In my opinion bring some of what you would consider your good stuff just in case, otherwise expect to trade for the new HM's avoiding the scrappers as you go!
