I jumped in and forgot to do this!
I was introduced to this site by a trader I met on pinpics, we had a couple trades and became trading buddies. I jumped into this site and already have my first trade happening and made a new friend, but I totally forgot to introduce myself, My name is Janice and I have a son Jordan (he's five) and I love pins, no one else in my family understands my hobby, but my niece and her boyfriend( He's a newbie, newbie) his name is Josh he just joined this site too!
I've been trading/collecting since 02 I believe mostly collecting, But my collection did'nt take off till 04 thats when I became hardcore, trading/PTN's/buying/ making new pin friends, and flying to SC to meet my main pin friend, we went to WDW together, we met on E-Bay lol we were always ending up in bidwars together so one day she messaged me and we became friends.
in 07 I became pregnant with my son and I had to stop going to the park, my ankles were swollen, I was tired, and he was heavy lol. I stopped for a few years, he was my priority, the best priority in the world, I love him so much! when he turned 3 mos I took him to DL I bought a couple pins, and the spark ingnited again, but my traders were few and old, not many were interested in trading so I put the traders away and just bought pins here and there. my son is 2 now and he now has his own lanyard, he trades on his own and it's the cutest thing ever, watching this little guy pick one out and I help him take his off and give it to him then he gives it to the traders, I loved it watching him. I still am not trading just buying, and my son is 5 now, were at the park and I see the Bambi PODM pin I have enough for 1 so I bought it, had no idea there are going to be more, somewhere some how I find out there is a Tangled one and trade away my Bambi for a Tangled, oops , I find out there is so many I have missed and now I am after the set and kicking myself for trading away Bambi because now I want the set! now im back at the trading tables for the first time in 5 years and whew it was ruthless ( that was my first post on this site) but there was nice people too,for the most part it was ok, I just had a bad experience. Im trading like crazy well crazy for me I can only handle so many at a time (i'll explain) and then I met Dawny on pinpics and I have had a blast trading with her, she's so fun and friendly, and she's got me hooked on the gingerbread pins, I love Christmas pins, she even gave a pirate pin to my son who was so excited he got his first pin in the mail, he showed everyone even the cat! So IMMMMMM Back!
Now about what I do, I work for Procter and Gamble I make Bounty Paper Towels, I thank everyone who buys Bounty, you keep me employed, and help my retirement, so for that I thank you! I work 12 hours 3 on 3 off shifts but work overtime often so it's more like 4 on 2 off, thats where the (I can only handle so many trades at one time) I am so busy house keeping, working, laundry, the clock is not on my side. I also like mountain biking so at least one of my days off my friend invites me to go ride with him, so I hit the trails, I love the dirt, jumps, and flying down hills. My best story is flying down a stream bank and a deer runs across I yell to my friends "deer"! and as im yelling a second runs in front of me and bam I crash into it's side, I am sent flying over the deer, my tire is tacoed, and the deer knocked to the ground! lol!
I have 2 cats Punkie and Sierra, both rescues that found me, one found at my work in the orchard (shes a redpoint siamease) and the other a scraggley kitten on her last leg trying to cross my front yard (punkie, shes a Torgie) she was really sick, now shes happy and healthy. Im a truck driven girl (love my trucks) and I love Carousels! I have lots of Carousel pins too! I am pretty easy going, but can be shy, But I do enjoy meeting new people, so thats me in a nutshell, glad to be here, this site is full of friendly pin traders and this I like! YAY! you've brought the fun back in trading!
