I am aware that it looks like something a child with some kind of problem would make. I cant even blame my arthritis on this one because my hands actually dont feel like the dead sea scrolls being exposed to air for the first time for once. I went in with a vague plan and next to no materials and it stands up. mostly. so i consider this attempt a win.

Aww I actually think your little tree has fun character! The slight fray makes me think of a real tree's needles. Plus you got it to stand up with pins on it and as we all know, that's the REAL hard part! I'm awed that you sewed all that by hand, I hot glued a base and then just ran embroidery floss in a corset pattern before tightening it onto the cone form for mine.
 
i used rice and tape to stand it up!
