After seeing my Brave pin collection sit on a plain ol' bulletin board for some time, I knew I had to come up with a nicer display for all of those beautiful pins. My original plan was to cover a painter's canvas with burlap-like fabric and use green plaid and gold ribbon as trim, but I came across this clearanced framed corkboard at Hobby Lobby and knew it would be perfect. I tore the paper backing from the back, removed the foam backer and corkboard and covered it with microsuede fabric. After trying to decide how to attach the plaid fabric I'd also purchased (was originally thinking I'd just do a smaller rectangle inset), my mom (who was in town visting me for the weekend) suggested I attach it as a tartan sash (SO glad she was there for that creative inspiration!). I LOVE the finished product and can't wait to fill it up with all the pins I'm missing and any future releases (if you have something for trade or sale that's not on my board, feel free to PM me!).

Wow, such an original idea! I love it! I need to figure out how to display my Brave pins, right now they're on a plain old corkboard with all the rest of my pins. I never thought of using tartan as a decoration but now I feel inspired! haha
