I am currently sponsoring someone for the Sci-Fi Event next month, and we got our RSPs this afternoon and they were fulfilled 100%. That would be a great thing, but I am also sponsoring someone else for the DLRP Star Wars event in July, so I have make some hard decisions as I have to divide some of the funds as I do not get my bonus until August.

My goal was to try and get enough of the Penny Arcade Blind Packs to get a complete set, or at least have extras where I could trade for a complete set, and get one each of the #34 Disney Robot Boxed Set & #24 Star Wars Animated Characters, but I have to make a choice now,

My rule of thumb with Star Wars is it has to be Disney/Star Tours related, just not a pin of one of the movie characters/vehicles, like no Darth Vader, but Goofy as Darth or Mickey vs Darth I would do. However, those Animated ones looked so interesting I was tempted when doing the RSP.

So what's your question? Edit: Oh, never mind, I didn't see that there was a poll.

Pictures would be helpful for those not familiar with the pins you are talking about. Are the ones you are questioning both from the same event??? Which pins are from which event?

Yes, they are all part of the Sci-Fi Event at DLR in June, and I have a limited budget currently as roughly half of what I had to spend is going to DLRP for the Star Wars Event.

I say Get enough of the Penny Arcade packs, forget the Star Wars sets....

I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, I think the arcade pins are a lot nicer (especially after seeing them in person)! Also the money you save from the sets can be put towards the DLP event which I think is going to be AWESOME! (So glad I'm going )

There is a co-op for the robot boxed set. I believe Vincent and Wall-e are taken. If you only need a few robots and the ones still available are what you need, do the co-op. About the mystery pins, how popular were the Alice boxed set? Do a vote to see if they are popular and if you would be successful in getting traders.

I would think that this event is too specific. Star Wars and/space? Go for the Arcade pins because you know their will be Chasers. You can always trade for the Star Wars pins as they may still be around acted the Event? I remember the Dateline pins still for sale after they posted that the remainder would all be destroyed. Anyone else remember that?

This event does not have hot charecters. No Alice, No Stitch, No Jessica, ect. Even the Arcade pins do not have charecters but most would want the set and not really an individual pin unless is because it reminds them of a game of their past.

Don't get pins to trade for other pins unless you have a trade set up. You may have pins on your Trader List that will be there awhile and be like the rest of us and have over 500 Traders that just sit there. Use the money to get what you want and not to get something now for something you wants later. Todays world, trades get harder and harder to work out.

Just a thought from a member with over 800 traders and wish I would have not got pins to trade and just get/buy the pins I really wanted.

Oops, forgot this one. Only one.

hey bronco ,

how about this, the mystery sets are just that, you dont know which you will get and you may be getting repeats, whereas the star wars set you know you will get what you see. While i would love the 20000 leagues what if its a low number produced?
What if you spend a butt load and dont get a set, then you are trying to trade off all of your doubles? Or what if like last years set at Trade city, the completer is an LE100, figure there were 1400 folks there, and everyone got a map, so only one outa 140 got a complete set<long odds unless you got a "connection" at Belmont> even trading thats a tuff map to fill!!
Your call but I would go for what I know I want, and if the extras are good traders great!!
<Im getting a fantasyland set for next PTE, will keep the 20000 pin and probably trade the rest, they are LE250 so they will trade, just how long and how much are you willing to sacrifice!!

OK, I have given it some thought, and am either going to go with Option #1 or Option #2 with this combo
