My name is Nicki. I am a 42 year old mother of 2 (with a husband). I am still very new, but I think I have a problem. I have lots of pins I need to start trading. I also need a focus, which I haven't decided on yet. I am pretty eclectic at this point. I live in the Dallas area.

Welcome to DPF! I also at first had a hard time figuring out what my main collections were going to be (I've narrowed it down to three main themes but that's still so broad haha) but once you do, everything should be much easier in deciding what to trade and keep! Plus, in my case, by putting a focus, it has helped me not purchase as many pins as when I had first started collecting (yay for the wallet!). Best of Luck to you!

Greetings and Welcome to the Forum, fellow Texan!
I completely agree with what Room41more said. When I first started collecting, I collected whatever I could get my hands on. Now I've narrowed it down to pins from my favorite Disney movies. It's still quite a few collections but it really helps in determining what I "need".
No matter what you decide to collect, I know you'll have fun! :hsd:

Welcome to the forums! This is a wonderful place to start and get info on pins. :) If I can ever help with anything, feel free to shoot me a PM. And I wouldn't worry too much about finding a "focus" just yet. It'll come to you! Just remember to have fun.

Welcome, Fellow Texan. I started with just one or two collections and it kind of exploded. That's the fun of pins and Disney in general.

Welcome. A focus is definitely a good idea. I did not really have one when I started even though I told myself I would. My will power was not there to keep focused on only HM pins, and my obsession ballooned before I could stop. :)
