QUESTION Nice, Custom Lanyards

Hi!

I was wondering if there was a tutorial for making those lovely, extra wide lanyards out there. I know how to sew, and I probably have the basics down, on how to assemble them...but I've seen some truly flawless pieces, and I want to get as close to that as possible.

Or, you know, if someone is selling...

I'm looking for something like Laz's Frozen lanyard that he wears here at WDW...nice ribbon with some trim on the sides, nice and wide for large pins. We're going to Tokyo soon, so I wanted something a little bigger than the standard lanyard fare.

OH! I'm also looking for the Tower of Terror lanyard coming out in Paris, if anyone wants to trade!

I purchased a custom-made lanyard from a lady on Ebay. I don't think she is still offering the custom-made lanyards, but she does have an already-made "Frozen" themed lanyard listed, I believe. Her store name is custom_pin_lanyards.

I can't help you as far as instructions (I'm hopeless when it comes to sewing and arts and crafts), but the DPF members Lindsay "Linz_Pinz" and Amy "Wyllieam" are both AMAZING lanyard-makers. I own one by each of them (well, two by Lindsay, now) and they're beautiful.

I'm not sure if Lindsay has a thread with pictures of her lanyards posted in this forum, but Amy does here...

Lindsay does, however, have a Facebook page here...

Hehe, thank you my dear for sharing!!!

I love getting to create beautiful lanyards for people-- I'd love to create one for you if you need it :) If you're on instagram, you can search the tag: #LindsaysLanyards and see a bunch of examples-- or check out the facebook page Sara posted :)

I think the easiest way would to just pick out some fabric, ribbons, etc. that fit the theme that you would like your pins to be on, and then just cut them to whatever size pleases you, by sewing to keep everything in place. :)
