Just a quick notice to everyone we've received on behalf of our site host. The message follows:

As you may have heard, IPv4 IPs are becoming extremely scarce (as in there are no more being given out by ARIN, the entity that regulates their distribution and use). Unfortunately, IPv6 is not fully support so it’s not yet possible to simply switch to that. This has left us in a situation where we need to wisely manage those IPs which are under our control. To that end we are reorganizing our network which means we’re going to be migrating your account to a shiny, brand new server!

Your site will be migrated to a new server at your current location at the start of next week or shortly thereafter. We’ll be sending a follow up notification with specific dates and details. We will also be closely monitoring the migration process to make it as painless as possible.

Please note, however, that you may experience some higher than usual loads while your data is being moved over, which may cause slower load times than usual on your websites. You will find this to be particularly likely for database-driven sites in the first 24 hours after migration (as MySQL moves take longer - this will result in some temporary latency for those customers being moved out to Virginia). We apologize for the inconvenience this is causing.

What does this mean for you? It means (unfortunately) during this migration process, the site may experience periodic outages and slower than normal load times. Unfortunately there isn't anything we can do about this, but we trust our host to resolve and complete the migration as soon as possible to avoid any interruptions or frustrations.

In the meantime, Happy posting!

I cant post half the time anymore... is it because of this slow-down? It's been going on since like Thursday or Friday.

I noticed longer wait times for page loads. But still nowhere near the issues we had in the past. By and large, the site has been running very smoothly! Thanks for the update.

It started late last week, or over the weekend when we confirmed with them that we'd received the above message.

They said they would e-mail us when the migration was complete.

Other than getting kicked out of mobile chat followed by a few try again later pages, the forum as a whole as been running okay on my end...
