everyone has that odd obscure or unusual pin in the trade book... you know, that one you never saw before, thought was cool and might trade well but then... NEVER found a home.
THIS is the auction for THAT pin!!!
Below is my odd and obscure pin. You bid your odd or obscure pin(s) in return.
Meet Squash.
Pin 979: Disney Institute Mascot-Squash McStretch
What is he????
The animator mascot for the Disney Institute. He wears a cap or hat and holds a pencil. He was to have been made in various colors, but the animator who created him left the company! The back of the pin reads Disney 1/5000 DI. That means it is one of 5000 pins made. But, when the creator of the character left the Disney Institute, part of those 5000 pins were destroyed because of copyright issues. So no one really knows how many of these are really out there. At most there are 5000. The pins were given to the animators who taught the class and to each student who took the Animation class, before the animator who created the character left the Institute.
So... bid your odd/obscure/unusual/bizzaar/wierd or just plain
"what was disney thinking" pin
for this odd little piece of disney history.
*note: Squashes neck is weak, I have seen 2 others of this exact pin with broken necks. So he will ship with extra padding and i strongly suggest you are gentle with him.
