Old to DPT, New to the forum
Hello, i figured it was time to hit the forums since my Pin trading has gone stagnant over the past couple of years.
The name is Kritter, I am Currently a 22 year going to college and working two jobs so the place i tend to get my pins currently is on eBay, though finding the specific pins i want has become increasingly difficult as my collections come to completion.
I love horses (as you will be able to tell from my collecting habits) and currently work as a stable hand and warm-up rider.
I have been collecting for quite a long time, though I only started seriously collecting around 2009. My current Pin interests include; The Haunted Mansion (specifically pins involving Constance), King Arthur Carousel (or carousel horses in general), Disney Company Travel CO./ Resort, Fantasia (Specifically the pastoral symphony characters), Jim Hawkins, and practically any pin involving horses of some sort.
When i first got into pin trading, I started collecting Aristocats, Lion King, and cat related pins which got really old really fast. Because both franchises (and cat pins in general) tended to be pretty popular, I felt there was no end to my collection as a new pin came out almost every day and as I am a completionist at heart it became frustrating so i stopped collecting them. I may pick up a few of them if i find some that are extremely interesting but at this point it is a dropped collection. I may end up trading my older ones for fantasia pins in the future, but at this point i have no plans of letting them go.
My view on pin trading has become jaded over the past couple of years. It seems that since recently pin trading has blown up, it is virtually impossible to find old or interesting pins on the Cast Members. And when i was younger and newer to the game In-Park traders jilted me out of my good pins too many times to count (that is so not very Disney-like of you people!) so the likely hood of trading my pins to anyone other than family members is slim to none. I am always willing to buy pins for my collections though.
Keep an eye on the sale/wanted threads as i will most likely be posting my current goals there soon, I will also be setting up a pinpics account to make it easier to archive what i have and what i'm looking for
I won't get into my views on Scrappers.
