Hello, princes and princesses!

I've received such a tremendously warm welcome here at Disney Pin Forum, and so many of you have said such kind things about my collection and pin display shadowboxes. Some of you have even inquired about having custom-made shadowboxes of your own, which is incredibly humbling. I'd like to open myself up for a few commissions to help earn some money to buy a grail or two. Depending on how successful this initial commission window is, I may even start to offer this on a regular basis.

For those of you who DON'T know: I make shadowboxes to display your pins! Shadowboxes are a safe and beautiful method of displaying your grails, full sets or special pins. Your beloved pins are safe behind a pane of glass, and they look beautiful hanging on walls or sitting on bookshelves. I will customize a shadowbox to your collection: You tell me what film or series you're displaying, and I do my best to capture the spirit of the film on a one-of-a-kind display piece made specially for you.

Currently, I can offer four sizes of shadowbox:

8" x 10" Hinged Shadowbox (Glass door opens/closes with a magnetic closure)

** Please note on 8" x 10" Hinged Shadowboxes, Mickey pin backings do NOT fit. Pins fit in the shadowbox through a thick foam backing, a layer of felt and cardstock, which is safe for pins, but the backings do NOT fit through the foam. Mickey pin backings DO fit on smaller shadowboxes, as seen below.

Cost can fluctuate depending largely on what you have in mind for decoration. For these Tangled shadowboxes, I use a combination of silk and paper flowers, Swarovski crystal, synthetic wig hair (for the braid coming from the tower), glass pearls and backgrounds of official Disney scrapbooking paper and pages from children's books.

Please add $2 for Storybook Shadowboxes - anything shadowbox with a children's book page as a background. (This additional cost helps cover the cost of the books I have to buy and take apart!)

Mickey Pin Backs fit securely on these shadowboxes - the backs of each frame are fitted with cardstock and felt, so there is no bending or warping of the inside artwork and posts don't get damaged or bent. These shadowboxes hang easily with 3M hooks.

Regrettably, for the sake of shipping costs, I can only ship within the United States. I prefer to ship USPS Priority Mail with a Tracking Number, which for an 8" x 8" shadowbox is usually around $10. Shipping is NOT included in the cost of the shadowbox.

Thank you so much! I can absolutely customize to whatever movie or theme the buyer would like. I'm actually itching to build a Little Mermaid one as well as a Beauty and the Beast frame. I have so many ideas for both movies!

Just say say the word, I'll be happy to build one for you when you're ready.
 
OMG!!! This is something I like been looking for for quite some time now, since I am somewhat creatively challenged lol. I would like to do nice pieces for my little mermaid, sleeping beauty, chip and dale, and tangled pins. I hope u continue to do this bc I will happily pay u once to do one once I get more pins for my collections.... And money ^_^'

Please post pictures of ur work as u go along, I would love to see how they all turn out :)
 
Oh gosh, I'd love to have a Beauty and the Beast one, but I have to wait until I have the money! D= I'm pretty wiped from Christmas! If you keep accepting commissions into the New Year, though, definitely!! =D
 
These are amazing! I need to look over my collection and ponder what I'd like one for.

Do you know if we could easily add light to them to display a PODM?
 
I'm learning that posting this right around the holidays was a terrible choice, haha!! But that's okay, enough people seem interested (THANK YOU) that I will likely take orders after the new year.

As far as the lights for PoDM pins... I'm experimenting. I'm trying to see if I can secure a tiny LED "tap light" or wire something with an on/off switch outside the frame. I've got some ideas, but I need to experiment, for sure.
 
Hi! I'm assuming you're talking about the "It's for the Lost Princess" shadowbox? If so, that one is mine (haha), but I can easily re-create it for you. If you shoot me a PM, we can discuss pricing. (I dismantled a kids book for this one!)

To my Dutch friend - I lived in Well in Bergen county. If I knew that I could ship it safely and affordably, I'd happily send one to my home-away-from-home!

Thanks for your compliment! Stay tuned, I'm actually working on a much better shadowbox built specifically for PoDMs... something with a small, safe LED light to help show all of the scenes we've coveted! <3 I can't wait!
