Some of you saw my thread from last month about collecting the AP versions of the Medieval Magic Robin Hood set. I love that the Medieval Magic set is similar to the WDI anniversary set yet different enough to not feel like reused artwork. So I decided to frame the sets together - the WDI set, the regular Medieval Magic set, and the AP Medieval Magic set.

I also pulled an AP version of the Robin Hood disguise reveal/conceal pin off of a board at Fairy Tails, so I added that pair to balance out the layout. For the six pairs of pins, the AP version is on top and the normal version is in the bottom.

After laying out all of those pins, the corners seemed bare, so I filled them in with the WDI profiles and my very long-awaited marquee.

The spaces under Robin and Marian seem a bit big, so I’d like to eventually add something there, but for now I’m pretty pleased with how this turned out.

I LOVE it! Robin Hood holds a special place for me, though. :) Is that a Jumbo pin in the center? Also . . . how can you tell an AP version v. a normal version?

Thank you all! :3 It's been awhile since I've done a proper shadow box frame job, I'm so happy it came out so well!

Yes, thought it's really a super jumbo. It measures 7.5 inches in length and width. I refer to it as the Dinner Plate pin, because it is ridiculous how large it is in person and you really could use it as a plate. As for how to tell they're APs, each has the AP stamped on the back of them. Otherwise, they are pretty nearly identical to the normal versions. That's why I was very careful to make sure that all APs were at the top of each pairing so I could know which is which without taking apart the whole frame.

WOW! That is large! Is it a WDI pin?

Thanks for the info about the AP pins. Very interesting!
