I think the real issue is that a lot of people are slow getting pics done on a game that has been out for a month. The actual sorting wouldn't take long at all assuming you have printouts of the folks and their choices. I commend Jadestarr on running the game however. There has just been a disconnect since it 'ended' and the thread should really be updated. Notice the other game isnt doing so well as far as spots sold.
 
Who hasn't completed their submissions? Jadestarr hasn't been online for almost 3 days now. I'm assuming this means Jadestarr hasn't even checked Instant Messages. I understand real life and finals in school/work/ whatever. But to start a contest, spend all the time online to get the money, then to not be online to answer questions or even to tell people what's going on.

My recommendation:
Those that havent submitted picks by now(if this is indeed what we are waiting on), forfeit their spots to the end of the picking order. The rules of the contest were fairly straight forward when emailed to me.

Or am I just too damn impatient?

I have to say that I am very surprised that the communication has just stopped. It is not common to see someone run a game or sell anything online (here or other places) then take so long to complete things.

I think you are too impatient. this isnt like Jade at all, and her reputation should buy her a bit more time.
 
If you are too impatient to wait on Jade, (I know for a fact she has health issues and holds a full time job), then maybe you shouldn't play her games. Usually she is right on top of getting the picks out to us. More than likely something has come up and she will get back to us soon.


Remember, people have lives outside of pins and sometimes life gets in the way.

What about just continuing with the picking ourselves? I realize that sucks for people who already took the time to submit their picks but if jadestarr has things going on, then we can just facilitate this on our own, and make it a little easier for her. norlando319 already posted what they wanted for their spot on the previous page, meaning it is now CMR626's turn. If we pm them and then make it so the person whose turn it is, has to pm the next person to let them know, that should get things moving. Or is that too complicated?
 
I agree that this isn't like Jade at all, which has me worried that something is wrong at home :( She is above reproach as a pin trader, and I trust her completely... I am willing to wait, and iin the mean time I will be sending good thoughts, hoping everything is OK
 
Which is why I posted the bit about being too impatient. Of course I hope there is nothing wrong health wise, my posts are there to hopefully get answers for all those that (I assume) have the same curiosity that I have. Same questions - looking for basic answers. I understand work and I understand real life outside of pins. My apologies for seeming overly eager about this. Again, just looking for some response on this. This is my first game of hers and 4th game here on DPF (not to mention the multitude of games that I have watched and not participated in during the past year), so I see how the games move and this one has been at a snails pace.

@ Rasputin - She was very responsive in this game. Quickly replied to PMs that I had early in the game. Quickly sent out information telling us to all get our picks in to her. Notice my earlier post was making recommendations to those that hadn't made picks yet. I believe I recall seeing in an earlier post of hers that she is waiting on picks to be sent. To participate in a game, see that you werent the number #1 pick and wouldnt be receiving Elsa, I can see how people would be much slower at getting their picks in. So my recommendation was to hurry up and get your picks in.

I wonder if part of the problem is that we are not getting emails when we receive PMs again (at least I'm not!). Jade could well have not realised that she has been missed/people have sent picks.

I've played numerous games of Jade's in the past, and this truly is unlike her. I hope life is just busy, and that it's nothing negative or very serious.
