pinpics links

So the links to pinpics for peoples trade matches and wants,etc are not working for me. I click it and it takes me to a page that says Error or something. Is there something I have to do to fix that or do they not work anymore???

When pinpics did their new site updates ,the links were not good anymore.

I just put gallery. in front of the web link and it works a charm!

The links here on DPF are linked to the old PP site, that site no longer allows any outside links to function, so while they remain here on this end the other end of the string is a knot!

The PP site itself will allow you to compare and see other traders but the links here on DPF are currently defunct.

The site still allows outside links to function, the URL just changed. It's
gallery.pinpics.com
instead of just
pinpics.com

So, while this link to your trades doesn't work:
http://pinpics.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?user=lucan444&list=t
This one works fine:
http://gallery.pinpics.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?user=lucan444&list=t


I'm guessing PP wanted 'pinpics.com' to go to the new site, so they had to move the old database to another URL (by adding gallery. to the front of it).

gallery. sends you to the old site. so this is simply a bandaid measure that will only work until the old gallery site is shut down. Just an FYI.

Right, but he was saying the old site no longer allowed outside links... That's not true.

Also, anyone can create the links for the new site too, if they want. Add them to your SIG or something, you just have to figure them out.
Like your trades:

and Wants:
http://www.pinpics.com/member.php?t=w&uid=40541

It's just that the links aren't that easy for a forum to create, and you have to be logged into the site for them to work (another thing I think they should change).

I figured it had to do with the new site but just wanted to double check, I was just being lazy and was hoping it wasn't the case Thanks for all he answers guys! Much appreciated!
