I haven't been paying much attention to this year's pins because they haven't had one I've really needed yet. But I will be in WDW for the release of the Aladdin pin, and I was wondering if people were still going as crazy for these as they were last year? There's a higher price, but it seems like they are doing a better job of making sure all the cells are good. I was thinking about about maybe getting a few as traders, but only if their value is going to appreciate some (I have some more pricey pins on my wants list that I would like to eventually make trades for) but if they are staying around their original price or only a few dollars more, I might be better off just saving my cash.

Great Scenes of Snow White, Bambi, Cinderella, Alice, Peter Pan and Lady & Tramp appreciated nicely. IMO SW appreciated the most and held its value at about maybe 60% of its peak value.

This years movies & scenes are handled differently and I am not too sure about their $$ values. I think you can get nice trades for Aladdin depending on the scenes you'll get. It is the first PoDM pin I like this year although I am collecting this series regardless of what comes out.

WDW - I envy you

I envy me, it's a last minute trip! Southwest put their airfare 25% off over St. Patrick's Day. I mentioned going as a joke to my husband, and he didn't shoot me down! So I am going, for a week as a surprise for my Dad's birthday. Not sure how much park time I will actually have, but there will be a few days for sure.

i can't speak for WDW, but at DLR, the pins are gone in two or three days. by thursday night (night of release), all the good scenes are more or less gone. i'm speaking from my experience trying to get the toy story, nemo and monsters inc pins...

I was at WDW (Epcot) on Sunday, and they still had a few of the PoDM's with decent-ish scenes. We got a very clear Sully smiling, and a Sulley with Boo (a little more zoomed out than would originally have preferred). I've also found okay scenes at AK long after releases since most forget about them being there.

I think that because this year the scenes are better than last year they are not going to be as valued as last years. Dont get me wrong they are still really good traders - but when everyone gets a "good" scene it makes them all of a more equal value than when there are Great scenes good scenes and bad scenes.
