So I have heard of several problems with both of these as a result of Tanglemania...

Are any of you going through problems as a result of doing this???

I have heard of a few traders who pre-traded and pre-sold on E-Bay and were not able to get any cells, let alone the ones they had committed out already...

How many of you thought you had a cell coming and are now stuck looking for a new trade or on E-Bay shopping for one???

or worse yet...

Which one of you thought you were going to have no problems getting cells and got less than expected or none at all???

Just wondering after I saw a thread for pre-trading PoDM Little Mermaid already...

had 2 pretrades both fell thru. could not get there till 11ish for tangled at dlr. all sold out. tried to prepurchase here on boards for lil mermaid hinged. didnt get a reply back right away stepped away from my computer and missed out again! why should i pre pay if i know there is a chance they may not get the pin??? if i paypal them $ its out of my account. if they dont get the pin even if they refund me same day i cant touch the $ for 3 to 4 buisness days and its a holiday weekend to boot. rant rant rant! i am not a happy nurse right now!

Yeah I didn't get my pin either so I was super disappointed. But I wouldn't hold it against the seller at all, she was doing me a favour by trying to get me one in the first place so I am not going to complain about it, just be bummed out that the poor girl got unlucky.

I think ebayers are different though as they should come under the guarantees of ebay to get the items they are advertising.

I now can't get hold of this pin as I have nothing anyone wants to trade for it and I could only just afford it at little more than cost and shipping so ebay is waaaaaay out of my reach. Guess I should keep my fingers crossed for a LM one, but might just avoid the PODM's entire now as I know when I see the LM one in my hand I'd only want the Tangled one more and more :(

Yeah I'm in the same boat as you all. I pre-purchased from here and on eBay, thinking that way at least one of them would be able to snag one but ended up with none. This was my first experience doing these release day things and I'm totally bummed. I'm really grateful to the dpf member who offered to try and get one for me but now I'm trying to figure out what to do. And really, it makes me have very little hope of getting the Brave pins that I want more than the Tangled one.

Yeh i didnt get that?? Its one thing to have DPF friends give it the OL COLLEGE try it getting a pin for you, wether its a trade or a purchase. I would never prepay or buy a pin on ebay that isnt released yet and i dont know how the ebay sellers are allowed to do this WHEN THE RULE IS TO HAVE A ACTUAL PHOTO OF THE PRODUCT???? So buyer beware--and really we all know better.

I will admit I pre-purchased a batch - but I knew people always fall through. It seems that Disney World considered the Disneyland types to be over-reacting -and then WHAMMO..Disney World disappeared as well.

Then you have the evil sellers, who pre-sold too low and just cancel in order to profit themselves.

I recommend one of two things when it comes to pre-sales. 1) You check the feedback -longtime sellers will not RISK their feedback by not following through, no matter the cost. 2) Over Buy and plan on people who fail.

Pre-Sales are as old as trading. Nothing new. Won't ever touch it myself (selling early), as I have been burned by Disney too many times to take the risk.
