I have been trading for about 10 years and I have seen "trends" come and go. The most recent "trend" I have been experiencing is that:

I get a TA via PinPics from someone offering a Trade. I respond that its good to go and please send me their mailing address. I then NEVER hear back from them again? I try follow-up e-mails, PM's and such at least 3 times with no response.

I "hold" my pins until I hear back from the first offer made that I get, so sometimes I am losing out of Trading offers because I want to honor to first offer made. Whats crazy is that I then get MORE offers from the same people asking for trades on different pins EVERY day?? I send them e-mails mentioning that I am waitng to hear about other outstanding trades - Nothing back?

Is it that stuff is going to Spam filters, or just a lack of "how this Trading stuff is suppose to work"?? Also, its not just a "newbie" thing, some of the folks have quite a list of References.

I think it is hitting some people's mailbox as SPAM now for some reason. I've had offers and have responded also and the person never got back to me.
 
I have has many of these, though it seems to be much more recent then it has in the past. I have had a couple of people respond that they already completed a trade with someone else, but a majority have lately been no response at all. All my first time requests do go to my junk mail which I clean out daily specifically looking for trade requests. Once I respond to a request though I add the address to my list and the responses and any future trade requests then go to my inbox instead. It does get frustrating sometimes though I have to admit. I also only hold pins for about a week before taking other trade offers for them.

I have had that happen quite a bit where I post a request and get no response. But in this case I think it is different. Getting a trade request from someone, agreeing to the request you received, but then getting no return response. I kind of think that is more of a problem. It's like if you were face to face and someone say hey I'll give you this pin for that one, I say OK and then the person just walks away without saying anything. To me it almost comes off a bit rude.
 
I've also gotten a couple of these. Actually, from the same person: twice. I reply back and get nothing in return. It wouldn't be so disappointing if it wasn't for them offering a particular pin for which I'm am looking to acquire. Oh well...
 
I hope I haven't not responded to anyone before - if someone sends that they are interested and I've already traded the pin or something, I'll make a note to reply as I would expect the same courtesy.

I've only once come across where someone ignored my accepting their trade (and did not get back to me until I sent two follow up emails). It was disappointing as it was a pin I had been searching for and essentially only 'anonymous' traders or traders who never even get back to me with a decline were trading it, so I got my hopes up that I had at last found it. Now I've completely given up on that one. :lol: I feel bad that others come across this more often though. :(

I also had someone from on here TA me an then no response when I emailed back. I just ignore theirs now too.

I DO check my Spam and Junk Mail because I have mine on a high filter. Everyone should check theirs.

I am not being rude to anyone. Insulted that you would think that I am trying to control anyone. I agree it isn't the end of the world if someone doesn't respond.

If you want people to start growing up, try growing up yourself. Change starts within.
