Sellers regrets?

Just thought would start a thread to see if any of you have had sellers regrets?
Have you ever sold a Disney Le doll or collectible and regretted it?

Also has anyone sold any of the "grail" dolls I.E Alice, Snow White, Sq Elsa? And if so do you regret it?

Just asking because I'm thinking of selling my Anna and Sq Elsa dolls. Not so bothered with Anna as not a fan but I love Elsa.
I'm thinking of selling them and then just concentrating on my all time favourite movie- sleeping beauty. The money from selling those will go to all future LE sleeping beauty dolls.
Im in two minds because if I keep Elsa I think she will be out of place next to all sleeping beauty Collectibles so might as well sell but then she is very pretty!

Weren't you originally pressured towards selling you SQ Elsa? I remember there was a thread about that. I can't remember if that was you though as there are a few members now that are using Maleficent as their avatar so it hard to remember who is who LOL

It was me, I was being pressured into selling Sq Elsa but in the end I decided to keep her. But now I'm contemplating selling her( no pressure this time lol).
I haven't even got her on display at the minute and sold all my other dolls and decided to just concentrate on Sleeping beauty/Maleficent merchandise.

I'm tired of trying to keep up releases and then things selling out so quick like the Frozen dolls in March and really had stopped enjoying collecting so decided to make it easier and just collect from my favourite movie.
But part of me thinks sell Elsa and put the money towards upcoming Sleeping beauty dolls and what's the point in having a Elsa to keep in a closet but other part of me thinks but she's so pretty lol.

Yeah it is a tough call and I don't envy you for it. Personally I am not a firm believer in the whole selling something to make up enough money to buy something similar unless it is a car. Sort of like how they do the trade in with video games, granted you would be getting a lot of money for the doll but I wouldn't give her up just so that I can get the newer dolls, besides the newer ones shouldnt be too expensive. In fact selling the SQ Elsa doll would mean that you could get the entire designer set and all the Sleeping Beauty dolls along with the rest of the merchandise expected and they will just take up more room (that is if you do get them LOL).

But really the only person that can make that decision is you, I have never sold a doll myself and I don't think I ever could because I know I would immediately regret it later on and would try buying it again later down the track for a much more expensive rate.

That being said I can see why you are doing it which is fair enough but if you can sell her as a last resort then that would probably work out better for you. To be honest you have been thinking about selling her for a while so I sort of think that that will just keep eating away at you and you will more than likely sell her as it does not sound like there is much of a connection between you and the doll as opposed to your love for Sleeping Beauty. If you are just keeping her because she is pretty then yeah I definitely recommend just selling her if that means that you will have the money you need for the upcoming releases.

Either way whatever you decide to do good luck with your decision and i am sure you will make the right one that is best for you.

Thank you for your input If she wasn't worth a lot of money I would be fine just saving her but not displaying and just collecting Sleepy Beauty. But like you said I could have all the up coming sleeping beauty dolls and some money left over and she could go to someone who's obsessed with Frozen like I am Sleeping beauty lol! But I don't want to rush into selling and then regretting it, so I will probably wait till we see pictures of the LE Maleficent and Aurora first and then make my mind up lol.
I might be best just collecting LE sleeping beauty dolls and designer dolls and maybe get a Elsa doll that's not LE. Like the singing doll or something.

I think selling Anna alone will give you a good portion of the cost of any upcoming SB dolls, assuming you get them at cost. SQ Elsa is (IMO) too stunning to 'let it go'. I have been considering selling my November Frozen dolls to pay for my wisdom teeth surgery. I don't think I can do it though.

I think it's a matter of "can I keep Elsa and still afford the SB dolls or not?". If you can, I wouldn't sell her. And if you can't, I would even see and decide on whether you can sell something else. Because it seems you do like Elsa, so it'd be a shame that you'd sell her. SQ Elsa is one of the harder dolls atm and I do think you'd regret it sooner or later.

Selling limited edition items is never fun lol, especially if you spent a lot of money on them. But honestly, for me, it would depend on how much of an attachment you have to Elsa. If she is a character that you absolutely love and you have a strong attachment to, then I would keep her. Because once you sell her, the chances of ever getting her back are slim if we are going by the ridiculous prices the Frozen dolls are going for on eBay. Even if she looks out of place, and you like her that much, I would keep her. But if you just think she is really pretty and there are characters you like far more than Elsa, then I would sell her. Anna alone will give you a good amount of cash I think. Hope I helped at least a little :3.
