I take this to mean that everyone gets one Mali and one Aurora/Philip. There are two variants for each. My guess is the other Aurora/Philip is her in the blue dress. Don't know what the other Mali could be.

Where did you see that? I didn’t see that detail in the description. Certainly makes sense that way and I would be glad if that’s the case, but what I saw said 4 pin designs of Maleficent/Aurora and you get two random.

It's towards the middle of the description. I took it to mean that there are two of each pin available (variant wise). So instead of the six we are getting in park pack 3.0, it's only two. Whew
 
I just bought one but am not interested in Aurora so if someone gets the other Maleficent and wants to trade, I would be glad to.
