I know many of us have had issues with the poor packaging from Shopdisney. A trusted FB seller who was fed up, offers this advice:
    Call Loss Prevention at 1-800--328-0368
Have them flag your account to be "hand picked and packed"
It worked for her. Her subsequent orders came packaged pretty much earthquake-proofed.
    It's worth a try.

My Oogie Boogie Cereal box pin came broken. No dice on the chain dangle on the bottom of the pin. Also, came in a huge cardboard box for 1 item.

The boxes really big me. Such a waste in so many ways. Why can’t they get bubble mailers? Or at least much smaller boxes?

I know, right? You know they have the bubble mailers and have used them for pins. Last month, I bought the three pin Mulan set for $14.95 on a free shipping day; and it was mailed in a bubble mailer. I bought two LE pins and they rattle around in a big box.

To me, its just so haphazard. If you can mail something well packaged some of the time it should be easy to ensure it the rest of the time. I think it shows a lack of respect for the customer.

My mom said the Oogie Boogie cereal box for my niece arrived broken rattling around in a big box as well. She said the thing inside was gone. Shame as she was trying to get all the cereal boxes and she called ShopDisney and they said they had no replacements.

My Alice in Wonderland cruiser arrived broken ages ago in a big box. The plastic cover part was cracked. ShopDisney was able to replace it.

I’ve had maybe one pin arrive in a bubble envelope that actually made sense. It’s mostly been the big empty boxes with no padding that I hate. Emperor’s New Groove Anniversary arrived in the little plastic blue envelope kind of thing (not bubble) with no wrapping or anything. I’m amazed it didn’t get scratched.

I mailed it back asking for a replacement, but if they are out we will see what they do. Mine did have the "cereal" on the inside though.

For those with the Oogies Boogies cereal issues, I do have one for trade. Undamaged.

I wanted to post a picture of my box from ShopDisney.

I don’t want to know the box went through to reach me, but it must have been a rough trip.

Surprisingly enough, the pins all arrived safely. Don’t ask me how one or more didn’t fall out of the box. I was expecting to have missing pins so I took picture of the box prior to opening it. Luckily, pins were between the flap and the side wall all jammed together in one glob.

I just thought I’d post as I’ve never had a package arrive so rough looking.

I think if they had used the bubble wrap and a smaller box (envelope?) or used the large air cushions the current box it wouldn’t have caved in so much.

Was there a creature inside who was desperate to get out?

Just got the latest 2 Enchanted Emblem pins I wanted - Ursula and Old Hag. Large box, piece of wrapping paper on the top, pins were loose in the box bouncing around, backer cards were bent, but the pins are OK - just unbelievable. Waiting to hear about the broken Oogie pin I sent back to them last week.

SO, my Oogie Boogie cereal box pin that was damaged upon receipt made it back to DS.com. Got an e-mail that stated that they have no replacements for it but they are issuing a $20 gift card to be used on-line. I thanked them for the gift card BUT said that I am still out-of-pocket about $8 if you add in the S&H to and from DS.com. We will see what happens.

We've gotten a bunch of super poor packed boxes with items arrived damaged. Ordered a Minnie Main Attraction plush in May and it arrived in a poly mailer (not even a padded one) and was so crushed and bent, her face was totally smooshed and her headpiece ruined. She went back after three weeks of fighting with customer service.

One set of MMA pins arrived in a bubble mailer. Sadly, a bubble mailer with no other padding, and all the pins were bent.

Really stinks that their packing is so terrible, and you pay for the privilege of fighting with CS! Maybe shopdisney will start reading this thread! :) Bad packing is something they could easily fix and win some good customer happiness points! -grin-

@slbrabham - Terrible box! I would say it got that damage because they used a too large box and nothing to pad the inside to full. When a box goes through the USPS, it rides on many belts through many machines during the trip. Two things are bad for a package on a machine - one is being too full and one is being too empty. The package probably got stuck on the machine and ripped like that. We received a box from a friend and it had been over packed . . . it arrived missing half the items because it was ripped open. Not the first time something like that has happened. And with the USPS doing such poor moving job right now, it adds to the problems. Once we sold an item to someone and it never arrived. Weeks later, we received a clear look-through USPS envelope back with a torn piece of the original envelope (the part with the two addresses on it) that was completely burnt, ashes flaking from the entire edge. Never got the item back, either.

That's super sad for everyone wiht the limited pins who can't get replacements! @figment919 - I'd sure fight for the missing money! Also, I'd fight for the money on your original payment . . . not a gift card. They should have just refunded you the original way of purchase! May take several calls, but you should get through!

And this is what is scaring me right now if the order I put through for the MMA comes damaged. I’ve already told my proxies I wouldn’t charge until it arrived just in case; but if it does happen on this transaction, I won’t be helping out anymore with the Merchpass regardless of wanting to...

UPDATE - So I got an initial e-mail saying the Oogie cereal box is no longer available and that a $20 DS.com gift card will be issue. I e-mailed them that I am still out-of-pocket money for the S&H BOTH ways to them.

I just got an e-mail "enclosed is your gift card for $15!! What?? What is going on with DS.com??

Have you called or just emailed? Sis' similar return for an MMA plush took a couple of phone calls, but she got a really helpful CS rep who really did it nicely. At the same time, she had to get a replacement sent for a damaged Animators doll, and the same rep was super about working that out, too. Also . . . just to note . . . never call on the weekends. The weekend CS reps are way poorer and don't do the stuff. Wait for the week days!

I have tried calling numerous times but the wait time is over 2 hours - and they tell you to call back again later and then hang up.

Yes, I have had this same experience. I am trying to call them about a less than ideal castle key (the hinge is signficantly off, so the two sides do not line up.)

    V. frustrating. But I know I will keep trying, when I get moments. I hope you find time to get through at some point. shopdisney should not get away with all of this.
