Auction Ended: SITS PODM for charity/kids
Up for my first auction ever is a Sword in The Stone PODM. It is on its original card, has been wrapped in bubble wrap since I received it and has never been displayed. If you would like more pictures just let me know.

This auction is for the kids at Oakland Children's Hospital. As some of you know my daughter has had several operations here and due to the nature of her condition we are always housed in the Oncology (cancer) floor so this is where I go and give kids pins/lanyards when we go down for her regular check ups.
Every day, there is at least one but usually several kids having their birthdays in the hospital and there is a activities department (one woman) that comes to the kids rooms and wishes them a happy birthday and asks them what kind of stuff they like in hopes that they have something to give the child for their birthday. I only know about this because my daughter was unfortunate enough to be there on her birthday last year in April. They came back with a group of nurses and volunteers with a huge hand made sign that said HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOY, sang her happy birthday and gave her a wrapped gift as closely relevant to what she told them she liked as possible. It was so thoughtful and kind and we will never forget it.
100% of the things that this department gives to children is from private donations and when I asked how they are able to do this she said "unfortunately we can't always do it because we run out of donations" Well I can assure you that there are not many things sadder than the thought of sick/dying children getting nothing for their birthdays. Some of the parents are unable to afford anything and as most people know the gift shop at the hospital is extremely overpriced.
I deliver gifts/pins to this lady every single time I go there and I do not want this time to be any different. I normally buy large amounts of pins from members on this board but because of our overwhelming medical bills I just cannot afford to spend the money right now so I will be auctioning off at least a few things this week in hopes of getting as many as possible. The pins are used as gifts and as bingo prizes for kids that are able to come to the activities room. I wander the halls when I go down and give lanyards to kids in elevators, the cafeteria or anyplace else I find them! I have yet to have anyone say no to Disney pins!
WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR: Booster packs/pins, OE pins, rack, Hidden Mickeys/Cast Lanyard or other low dollar value pins. No LE or high end pins as most of the kids are fairly young and I would like to keep the staff down there honest lol. I cannot stress this enough so it's bold NO SCRAPPER PINS PLEASE. I do not support or condone the purchase/use of scrapper pins and I will not accept or give them to anyone. In this particular instance I am really looking for quantity over quality as I would like to make as many lanyards as possible, with each one having at least 5-6 pins. They need to be in the best condition possible and new of course is the best but I will also be having them sanitized for health reasons before being delivered.
The last pictures at the bottom are showing Joy on her birthday with the sign they made for her and the lanyards and the booster packs that I delivered to the hospital last year. I gave them several more empty lanyards and also a few for my favorite nurses as well as the woman that runs the program. Dig deep guys 100% of the pins from this auction will be going to deliver smiles to kids that need them the most.
