Something strange about my new pin

My brother just got back from Disneyland, and he had bought us gifts from across the galaxy (he got us Star Wars pins). I unpacked the first one, that was fine, the pin doesn’t stick out as fake or a scrapper. The second one was a little different, almost everything checked out, the coloring is fine, the edges are fine, the back is almost fine. There is a box for a serial number but there is no serial number. In its place is some permanent marker that looks sort of like an up arrow. Does anyone have any idea what this means? Is it fake or something?

(I apologize for anything that seems unprofessional, I’m a bit new to the Disney pin scene)

So, descriptions don't really work. Pictures are better!

Also, were these pins he bought or traded for? If he bought it at Disney, it is a real pin.

I’m trying to add pictures, but I don’t think it’s working, I may need help

Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out!

I don't see them. You can't use the forum to host pictures, but if you're using the Tapatalk app, you can add them that way.

Otherwise, use a free photosharing website (I use imgur), upload the pictures, go to the pictures, right click, copy & paste

Ok then, I’ll use the app

Edit: I’ve gotten the app, please let me know if it worked this time

If it was purchased at Disneyland, then it is authentic.

Sometimes Disney makes mistakes, like forgetting to apply a number or they make a spelling mistake (etc) and then it gets past Quality Control and out into the stores.

What does the front of the pin look like? Maybe someone else who purchased the pin can check theirs and compare it for you.

Here is a picture of the front. It is an open edition. Does anyone else have this pin? Looks like the FAC number didn't get added?[IMG]

When you say bought, do you mean directly from Disney?
